We Made it to OAXACA on a TINY Plane! BEST way to Get from Puerto Escondido to Oaxaca City, Mexico

We’re BACK for another vlog and we made it to Oaxaca City, Mexico!
We honestly weren't expecting to love this city as much as we do, and we'll be sharing what makes it so incredible over the next 2 videos!
We started our day out by taking a taxi to the airport in Puerto Escondido very early in the morning. After collecting our paper boarding passes and checking our bags, we hopped on the 2nd smallest plane we've ever been on. What's even cooler is we were able to sit right behind the pilot! We had a front row seat the entire flight of the cockpit and the nose of the plane, definitely something you don't get to do every day :) We think that this is the best way to get from Puerto Escondido to Oaxaca City because of timing, views, and it being an experience all in itself!
After our quick flight, we headed into Oaxaca city in a collectivo - one of the easiest and cheapest ways to get around in Mexico! It's basically a shared taxi that will drop you right in front of your hotel. It was about half the price of a taxi!
Once we checked into our hotel we had some time before our room was ready, so we headed up to the terrace! The pool up here was beautiful and the views of the city were amazing! The view from a lot of the rooftops in Oaxaca would cost tons of money in other cities.

The views were so cool! We definitely would have opted for the plane too. Spending hours on a bus sounds awful…

We flew with AeroMexico! we posted a video on that as well. we flew from Mexico city
How long before the flight should you arrive?
Hour to an hour and a half to be safe!

$150 each! Which we felt wasn’t bad when you consider it’s basically a 30 min sightseeing flight too
