John & John was a tough matchup to beat. Now that Cheech retired, I still listen to shorty but when he's not doing the game, I listen to Brendan Batchelor instead. Well, as long as I am watching live.
Maybe I am bias, maybe I've just been spoiled, but I think John & John was one of the best combos ever.

Canucks badly needed that. They looked to be heading into the game on a downward spiral, but they mustered up and fought form the first minute, as they have to do each and every minute they can. Were much better as well defensively. I just wish they would try and not make life difficult for themselves by conceding penalties at crucial times. That was legitimately heart in the mouth stuff and I thought for sure Calgary would score in the last few seconds.

A great debut for Zadorov as he assisted the Pettersson game-winning goal for the Canucks into the empty net. Zadorov's first point as a Canuck.

Canucks played well today except for special teams. PP needs tweeking but they definitely gotta fix that penalty kill, and gotta do it fast. The other 2 Hughes bros and New Jersey will be in town soon with the best PP in the league. Can't let that be a game that will get away from them solely because of special teams.

Myers was useless again. I blame Toc for putting him on the ice in the last few minutes of any period. The blame is on Toccet. Can somebody pleas explain to Myers that:
he needs to play in front of Demko not behind him
He should not fall on top of Demko at any point in the game
He should use his stick to tie up the opposing players stick to prevent them from shooting
He should should not push opposing players into Demko
He should not pass the puck to opposing players in the Canucks ends
If Myers wants to watch the game he should do so from the bench and not from the ice in the Canucks zone.

Barely hung on for the win. Tocchet loves benching people. So why doesn't he bench Myers? He is literally a liability every time he is on the ice. He couldn't take a simple pass around the boards. And if it weren't for him running into Demko in the last minute, it would have been 4-2.
