    I have piece of Citrine (supposedly) that looks mostly translucent with a hint of pale yellow from certain angles or under a lot of light. Almost like the color banding you mentioned. But the corners are not pointed so it might just be glass. I know it's impossible to tell without looking at it but what are the chances of it being natural vs fake?

    Thank you for this video. I am new to crystals and need citrine but after visiting my local shop I became suspicious of the stone i got. Its definately amethyst. So does this heat treated amethyst still have amethyst properties?

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  Před 2 lety

      Bethany, once amethyst is heated into citrine it is considered a different stone with different properties. The color change aligns it more to the solar plexus chakra.

    Can a piece of natural Citrine be cut into pieces and tumbled? My 'Citrine' has quartz cracks in it. You mentioned a quartz crystal being dyed to look like Citrine, but how much color remains after the process?

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes, you can tumble natural Citrine. Dying process of stones varies widely, from amateur where the color may wipe off on your skin, to professional level where the dye is everlasting and not easily noticed.

    Does heated citrine lose its benefits 🤔??????

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  Před 2 lety

      Just like any other crystal that has been altered, it is up to you as the healer to determine your preferences. If you are already working with polished stones, carved stones, or tumbled stones, you realize that they have been manipulated from their raw state.
      However, if you are working specifically with the energy of raw, unaltered stones, you are a crystal purist and you will want to hunt down and pay the price for natural Citrine which is much pricier than heated Citrine.
      Experiment and come to your own conclusions on heat-treated Citrine. If it works for you, that's the most important part of healing!

    So is heat treated citrine actually citrine or no?

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  Před 3 lety +1

      That is the ongoing debate. It depends on what school of thought you are in. Heat treated Citrine is marketed as a train for many years now in the gemstone market. It has been accepted as a form of Citrine. If you are a purist, you may disagree!

    I bought one of those chakra chip bracelets a couple years ago and noticed how perfectly sunny 😅yellow the “citrine” part was . Close up I saw a sparkling effect. Magnified showed micro air bubbles. 🤦🏻‍♀️ also bought a “strawberry quartz” and turned out to be cherry quartz. The reddish bands were just too smooth and again found the micro bubbles. 🫧 with no texture difference . Really taught me to triple check what I buy .
    I have this “carnelian” bracelet that I’m skeptical about even tho I find no bubbles. Each bead is a completely opaque deep orange with no blemishes at all 🤔 I have a chip carnelian one that’s all kinds of colors or orange , brown, yellow and cream , definitely real.
