Everyone else is already taken.” - Don’t let ANYONE make fun of you for wearing shoes without socks. My dad didn’t like me wearing shoes without socks-but that was b/c he was such a curmudegeon. If it were too dumb 2 B a real issue, Dad would make an issue of it, anyway. It’s OK if your feet smell. The sole of each foot has a higher concentration of sweat glands per microscopic unit of surface area than ANY other area of skin on the body; ergo, one’s feet are SUPPOSED to sweat-they’re actually SUPPOSED to smell. IDK who you were with when you mentioned how feet smell; I just heard a guy’s voice. If he, or anyone else, makes light of that same topic-you can tell them about this one guy, Wade Smith, who enjoyed your vlog-AND, at the same time, has the smelliest feet IN Texas. TRUE STORY: I went with some friends to the Livestock & Rodeo Show in Mercedes, Texas (another city in the southernmost area of Texas; it’s a ways east from where I live). It was a hot & humid, sunny day, and I was walking around in my new pair of boots. In the middle of the day, we walked over to this one pavilion and made use of the wooden benches to take a break. We found clean benches to sit on-but the one behind me was covered with all kinds of refuse from the concession stands, and made sticky with food residue. There were flies all over it. While we were sitting down, I had to take my left boot off so I could stretch my left foot. When it was time for us to move on, I slipped my left boot on-and when I stood up, I noticed that ALL the flies that HAD covered the sticky bench were gone. Those flies had been around horse manure, cow manure, horse dander, goat dander-and they were chowing down on discarded foodstuffs in all the garbage with which that one bench was littered-but when I took one of my boots off, allowing ONE foot to air out, those same flies evacuated QUICKLY! - And that guy said something about how YOUR feet smell?? Don’t feel bad-it could be worse. MY foot odor actually drove flies AWAY! - There’s nothing wrong with wearing shoes without socks…although you MIGHT wanna wear a good pair of socks underneath your boots. It’s not about the smell-a good pair of socks will keep your feet from blistering. Also: Make sure your boots are waterproof. If you wear your boots all day-and if your socks are wet b/c of perspiration, that’s normal-but if your socks get wet with rain water or from puddles, CHANGE THEM AS SOON AS YOU CAN! Wearing wet socks under your boots on a cold day is a good way to get sick. - ONE MORE THING: Next time you get the hiccups-if you can’t get rid of them, you can do one of two things: 1.). Drink a glass of milk VERY slowly; or 2.) Get ahold of an antacid tablet and let it sit on the back of your tongue for a while B-4 chewing it & swallowing it. Most antacids neutralize stomach acid the same way milk does-with calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate-each one neutralizes the acid thru a step-by-step process called Brønsted reactions. One of the by-products is carbon dioxide-which, in this case, will help the diaphragm to relax so that it won’t keep going into spasm (that’s what hiccups are). - ANYWAY, thanx for sharing your vlog with the world!
