ഇന്ത്യ മഹാരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ആകെ ഇറക്കുമതി 381 Billion USD ആണ്. അതിന്റെ 18% തോളം ചൈനയിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഇറക്കുമതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പങ്കാളിയും ചൈന തന്നെ, രണ്ടാമത്തുള്ള അമേരിക്കയിൽ നിന്ന് 25.7 Billion USD (ചരക്കുകൾ) ഇറക്കുമതി ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ചൈനയിൽ നിന്ന് 68.06 Billion USD ആണ് ഇറക്കുമതി നടക്കുന്നത്.
അപ്പോൾ നമ്മൾ ഈ ഇറക്കുമതി നിർത്തിയാൽ ചൈനക്ക് വൻ അടിയാവും എന്ന് കരുതുന്നുണ്ടോ ? അത്ര വലിയ അടിയായൊന്നും ചൈനയെ അത് ഏൽകില്ല. നമ്മൾക്ക് ഒരു ശത്രു രാജ്യത്തെ കച്ചവടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഒഴിവാക്കാമെന്നു മാത്രം.
ചൈനയുടെ ആകെ കയറ്റുമതി 2,263.3 Billions of USD ആണ്. ഇതിൽ ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് വരുന്നത് വെറും 68.0 Billions of USD. അതായത് അവരുടെ മാർക്കറ്റിന്റെ വെറും 3% മാത്രമാണ് ഇന്ത്യ.
ഇനി ഇന്ത്യ ചൈനീസ് ഉൽപന്നങ്ങൾ നിരോധിച്ചാൽ തന്നെ അത് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കയറ്റുമതിയെയും ആരോഗ്യ മേഖലയെപോലും കാര്യമായി ബാധിക്കും. മൊബൈൽ ഇലക്ട്രിക്കൽ ഉൽപന്നങ്ങൾ കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ പ്രധാനമായും മരുന്ന് നിർമാണത്തിന് വേണ്ട രാസവസ്തുക്കളും മറ്റു അവശ്യ വസ്തുക്കൾക്കുമായാണ് ഇന്ത്യ ചൈനയെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നത്.
