  • Another video clip from Michael Jacksons' 30th Anniversary concert was his performance of "You Rock My World", the final number in the concert. As I stated in the previous video, the quality of the video is not the best, however due to the historical nature of it I felt that it should be shared as is. Of interest in the video is some of the behind the scenes technical work seen in the video. The announcer can be heard at the end thanking fans for attending Michael Jackson's 30th Anniversary concert.

You guys think he would be able to record the full performance that far of an angle. You would probably record the same if you stood there. Stop judging others and just be grateful he recorded it and shared it

This was the final song Jackson performed as apart of his solo act before the Marlon Brando speech and we are the world ending. By the time You rock my world was performed, it was already after midnight. This is technically September 11, 2001 right after midnight. Then dinner was had by multiple celebrities at Tavern on the Green til about 3am to celebrate the show. Everyone including Michael must have had a hangover waken up at 9am the following morning, Hell word is Michael had a meeting on the twin towers that morning, but overslept.

that performance at the end of You Rock My World was almost revelatory, he laid on the ground as if he was finished, then he got back up turned around three times jumped up in the air and came down like Bruce Lee and boom fire blew up the stage? the next day 9/11 happen

Absolutely crazy to think the events of 9/11 were only hours away after this performance. A moment in history before the world changed forever.

This was 2001, they didn’t have tripods back then. Be grateful that they even decided to post the recording. I’m sure they were trying to enjoy the show LIVE while recording

Some people may think this angle is bad. I personally love seeing more of the supporting crews at work. I've been looking for better angles of the orchestra, especially during this song. Love it.

Typical homevideo cameraman not worried about how the footage will look like and capturing the best moments only by luck. With this recording there was no luck 😂🙈😉

This is AWFUL. You miss most of the performance because of bad cameraman.
