Alan was ridicilous in this episode. Charlie never made a move on Alan's girlfriends (except for when they were kids) and always helping Alan out with women. This is the point where he had become ungrateful and an intolerable cheapskate.
Alan dated some of Charlie his left-overs. And Charlie is the type of man women are more attracted to. Alan's insecurity is valid.

I always expected an evolution of Alan's character and for him to stop being so pathetic at least a little. It never happened.

If anything, once Charlie departed the show and Kutcher proved to be a funny-disaster, they ramped up the annoying aspects of Allan to the Max. Kutcher normally gets all the blame for the show's precipitous decline at that point, but it was the changes to the other characters to compensate for Kutcher's lack of comedic talent that sank the show as much as Kutcher himself.
Lyndsey was more like a sister or close cousin to Charlie
You could tell straight away that Alan was going to say something Lindsey didn't think was manly 🤣

@gerdtf...Didn't Alan and Lyndsey break up at the very end, didn't she leave him? I ask because, after Charlie left the show, I only watched the first season with Kutcher, being I couldn't take it anymore, lol. Charlie rocked it.

I do. He had potential and Charlie is obviously scum but the writers did their best to make Alan as despicable as possible.
Within 30 seconds, the clip goes into the "Joke that They Couldn't Make Today" category. God, I miss the non-politically correct era of entertainment.😆
