How to make name plate for your home from cardboard/best out of waste/art and craft

This tutorial is about how to make a diy name Plate. I have used very simple and easy techniques to make this name plate .This method is really helpful for those who are beginners and looking for some easy procedure to make a name plate. Hope you all will like it.

Materials used:
1. Cardboard, thin cardboard or foam sheet.
2. White glue
3. Jute rope
4. Any jar, bottle which is light in weight. You can also use plastic bottles.
5. Scissors n precision knife/surgical knife/cutter
6. Acrylic colour, here I used black, Brown and metallic gold.
7. Pointed object or pencil.
8. nail or any pointed object to make hole
9. Plaster of Paris or tissue paper/ newspaper
10. sand/stones/flowers or anything to decorate.

But is Fevicryl water resistant?
What Fevicryl u r refering to? You can use a clear wood varnish to proctect it. N wipe it with a damp cloth.

Yes you can use either of anything, pop, white cement or wall putty.
Mam aapne o konsa powder use kiya Fevicol ke sat
It's pop(plaster of paris). Aap wall putty, ya white cement sirf pani k sath paste banake bhi use kar sakte h. Mere recent videos me aap dekh sakte h.

No, fevicol will not give texture, you can use pop,white cement or wall putty any of it. Or readymade texture paste.

Yes you can.
Mam I want to make it outside in our building how to protect it from rain
Cardboard will not stand out in rain, not even wood if you try it with mdf board. Generally neaR doors rains don't affect. Outside nameplate is often made in stone or metal. Try out somewhere where it's not directly affected by rain

How did you created letters?
With a thin cardboard. I traced the letter copying a random font and cutting thin cardboard is easier. U can also use foam sheet for it.
@@diywithuttara I am going to make a 10" name plate for home with long names like "Rahul Radia" do letters will be small. What would you suggest for such small letter size? Same tracing?
@@rajkotianyoutuber If u only have one name u can use the the method, n if u have more names u can mention the surname at the top like Radia's and rest only names.

Is this going to be water resistant? Will it survive in hot sun and rain?
You can wipe it with a damp cloth.
Can we paint the base first n the numbers separately n than stick?
Yes of course you can
Can we do this with cement instead of plaster of pairs
Yes you can. Cement takes little longer to dry and may have cracks after drying. You can also use wall putty mixing just with water.
Can we use wall putty in place of pop
Yes u can, wall putty gives much smoother surface
What else can be used instead of pop?
White cement and wall putty can also be used.

Wer will I get d jute rope??
Thnk u. U can get the rope from a hardware store or from amazon, flipkart. Hardware store are much cheaper.

How much time will it take to get dry
POP sets quickly, bt ot takes atleast 6-8 hrs to dry out completely depending on whether conditions. Or leave it overnight.

Pop nahi ho to kya kare
White cement bhi use kar sakte ho.

@@pallawisinha2058 white cement will stick on its own only with water, bt cracks in thick layer. You can mix fevicol, approx a tbl spoon in a cup of cement.
