Ideally a belt drive will give longer life. Belt drive units are the ultimate professional pressure washers and they will get the benefit from being able to gravity feed out of a water tank, lower pump temps after hours and hours of straight running and ideally more longevity. Personally I will never run this for hours on end nor do I need to gravity feed out of a tank. If you plan on running it for a business, 25+ hours a week, for years, go belt drive. But personally I didn't want to source pulleys, belts, make guards or spend the extra for a belt drive pump. The cat pump I used has an average lifespan of over 3000hours, so I could use it for 3 hours a week for the next 20years before I need to do a major service.
CAT spec sheets show the only longevity difference is bearing life due to rpm differences in direct(3600rpm 6k-10k hours) vs belt(below 1200rpm/1/3 engine speed 12k-18k hours).
Direct Drive Pump
Pros: Compact design, lower cost, more efficient
Cons: More vibration and heat from motor transferred to pump, higher rpm
Belt Driven Pump
Pros: Longer life from lower RPM, belt absorbs vibration, won’t overheat.
Cons: More maintenance, higher cost, less efficient. - Jak na to + styl
Now I have pump envy. Thanks a lot man! Beautiful pump. haha
Ozzstar ha ha. Thanks for the great comment.
What about bleeding Air out of pump before start up?
Pro trick : watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Langston Felix Yea, been watching on Flixzone} for months myself =)
@Langston Felix yea, have been using flixzone} for years myself =)
Just recently bought a hurricane 4300psi 4gpm but I will say that keeping the trigger squeezed is the number one thing that helps longevity. I bought a CH back in 01' and it still works after 17 years of personal use.
UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust czcams.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.
My pop bought a commercial pressure washer back in the day, Brigs industrial engine with a 2800 psi Cat pump, other than bad gas issues and a new starter cord that thing still puts out like a champ ~20 years later.
pressure washer tech here.
we rarely have to rebuild a CAT pump...
that's because the parts are too expensive and we throw them in the garbage.
Hotsy makes a good pump. Lifetime warranty against freezing.. Cant beat that.
yes they do I have used their heated pressure washers, amazing build quality and performance. With Hotsy though to get the level of performance he has here you're looking at $2500, this is a great option for someone starting off in pressure washing perhaps they could mount this on a trailer with a small pump running to it and have a good trailer for relatively lower cost then a brand new Hotsy trailer unit.
@@jhomrich89you can get a 4000psi belt driven cold pressure washer for $1700
most homeowners/small business need about 2300-3300 psi. Those are around $1000 depending on your distributor, Manufactured by Karcher N.A with a Hotsy style pump head and crank case.
They dont make the classic red Hotsy pumps anymore. Its closer to a General pump now.
Hotsy/Landa/Mosmatic/Pressure Pro/Karcher are all one company now. Karcher bought them all up. Alkota and Hydrotek are one company now. Aladdin is its own company(wouldn't recommend).
The CAT pump you are seeing is essentially a private labeled pumps for whatever distributor is throwing together the chassis so they can charge more for the CAT name and parts.
These are not equivalent to the commercial/ industrial CAT pumps that CAT built its name on.
my 0.02
most of the guys i see starting out take the handles/wheels off the cold units and just mount the chassis to their trailer. i wouldnt advise a guy starting out to buy a CAT pump. i would recommend something that has cheaper service ability and rebuild ability. #1 choice -HOTSY #2 choice - Comet pump.
need them and are not buying commercial/industrial versions. CAT is essentially private labeling for other manufacturers.
That's what I've heard about Cat pumps; they are too expensive to rebuilt.
Can I buy a replacement for a 2DX15ES.KB pump? I really would rather have a cheaper pump, but one that won't freeze might be even better. Really appreciate any help.
I have a pressure washer that has the Annovi Reverberi XRCV4G35. It's a 4gpm 3500 psi pump, and it was made in Italy! Now they build their pumps in China. It's a commercial grade pump, the only pumps that was used on the type of pressure washer it is are the belt driven pumps. It's a awesome pressure washer, but they have been discontinued for a while now.
Congratulations for you checking one off your bucket list. That thing is gonna be great for you! Your dog is outstanding! Unbelievable coordination and skills!
This dog loves to jump.
I'm retired but work part time for a Cub dealer. Most of the pressure washers we see in the shop are simply no maintenance. They get used once then sit for a year in freezing temps. I bought a new cub cadet with a Honda GX motor. It's a CC3600. I ran it for a couple of hours then I changed the oil in the pump to a good pump oil. After I use it I run water through the pump without a nozzle on the wand. This runs a larger volume of water without creating heat. I also use pump saver in the pump if it's going to be setting for more than a couple of weeks. Hopefully I can get a lot of use out of it.
Great video and nice pressure washer.
Great tips on keeping the water flowing. Always good information, Moe.
Thanks George.
I agree with you about CAT pumps! My one AAA pump was shot after two years and my previous two (four and five years old) with General pumps have practically no pressure. They all had pressure gauges, unloaders and inlet filters with rarely being run longer than 60 seconds without the trigger or flow relieved. I find that ball valves are a necessity when switching between the surface cleaner and gun and letting the pump cool down after use with a low idle run and no restrictions on the line. It didn't matter on the first three for they just didn't last. I now have a CAT 4200 psi @ 4.0 gpm and so far after eight months and close to 300 hours of use it's been great. I did change my methods and now run 50 feet of hose and position the pressure washer where I can continuously work without having to stop and move, this lessens my operating time and it's worth spending the money on a longer line. Granted pressure is reduced but with a high quality hose it's minimal. Awesome video..
Thanks for your personal input.
Looks great man. I love seeing the mix of new and used. I have kicked the idea of making an attachment for my mower to use its PTO to drive a pump head. I just dont like keeping another small engine around that I use rarely.
I toyed around with a pto driven pressure washer as well. It's a great idea. They have belt driven pumps that spin at half the rpm of these direct coupled pumps and would be ideal. I just needed the portability and I have half a dozen big engines laying around.

Great video: I have a 13 hp Honda pressure washer, never had an issue. I drain it out and add the RV antifreeze after every use. Some times I use soluble oil additive in it for long term winter storage. Thanks for the video's.
That's some great advice to keep them alive.
Good tips, when my washer dies this is what I'm making! Also watched and saved your vid when you made the bead buster. Great videos.👍
Thanks Ed. -Moe.
All the high quality pumps I've come across with "issues" almost always needed only a valve kit (which is a simple and cheap fix) and then were back up and working as original. People leave water in the pump and it rots the valves. IMO the AR pumps made in Italy and the cat pumps are both really good high quality made units!
I've serviced and resold a fair amount of pressure washers with AR pumps, I think they're good. Cat, AR and General are the most known commercial pumps and all last, but I think Cat has the best reputation for themselves.
That's my experience as well. People either leave water in them and it freezes or trash is sent into the pump because they don't flush the low pressure line before connecting to the pump. Few pulls on the cord with the high pressure side open clears any pump I've had.
looks like the same setup I have, was given to my boy because the pump did not work, rebuilt the seals and works great.
cat pumps are great, only problem I had is springs rusted in pump resulting in no pressure, think they were like $25 bucks & back up & running.
The big comet pumps are really good too. I work on them professionally and honestly I see more cat pumps with issues than the big comet pumps. Although it’s usually just water seals, valves or unloader.
Cat Pumps, top notch.
I have an 110v electric NorthStar pressure washer with a Cat pump that I got from work about 4 years ago. I was told that it didn't work and I offered to take it off of their hands since it was just sitting in a corner of the parts area of the maintenance shop for years and they wanted it gone.
Turns out it works perfectly. It's just a little on the weak-side compared to the pressure you would get out of a gas powered pressure washer. All I have done so far is replace the pump oil for good measure. I might try adjusting the pump a bit to get more pressure, I know that there is a pretty detailed procedure regarding pressure drop and such to dial it in perfectly. Pretty foreign to me, though.
Anyway, it works well enough for light duty washing of the car and the house's vinyl siding and windows. Considering it's free, I'm more than thrilled.
Can't beat a free pressure washer, especially one with a Cat pump.
Very good video thanks for doing this one. You're a smart fella and I always enjoy watching and learning new things here. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the videos.
Depends what you use your washer for.. I love cat pumps for commercial grade washer. Have a 4K psi Honda gx360 motor with the same model cat pump, AWESOME for BIG pressure washing needs. I’m a detailer, for cars you’d maybe want to go with an AR North America pump and a smaller engine maybe a Honda Gx200 or even a harbor freight predator engine lol
Got a 2000 5dx I love it so much!! Just change the oil with 30w non detergent every 20 hours or so and keep water ALWAYS going through it don’t burn on it!
Those are good pumps.
This was very informative and a great project, I'm going to try to make a vapor blasting machine one day, or at least a pressure parts washer. Keep up the good work.
That's exactly what the main purpose of this is going to be. I'm going to use it for wet sandblasting car parts.
Great video, good memories, i did the exact same thing, same engine, same pump. I love those Cat Pumps. After about a year of use I took my nice blue Cat pump off and put on a red Comet Pump because it is 5gpm, my psi dropped to 3500psi but the increase in gpm cuts my job time almost in half. As soon as i win the lottery, i will upgrade to an electric start and 8gpm for my bigger jobs. Anyway great video...
Hey Thanks. 8gpm would be amazing!
You are in my top 10 of guys that know good stuff. I have over a thousand DIY's in my CZcams library so Top 10 is GOOD LOL. Thank you for helping me learn :)
i have a landa belt drive pressure washer with a honda gx390 on it i picked up on cl for 50 a few years ago. needed a carb cleaning and pump is great. love my landa!
Landa makes some good equipment. $50 is a great deal.
sixtyfiveford I've had it for 5 years or so still working great
Helpful video.... I guess the saying is true. You learn something new everyday. I never knew that you had to constantly run water thru the pump. I won't be doing that anymore.
THANKS FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO !!
Those CAT pumps take a beating and just keep going. I have one on an old Excell power washer I’ve had since the late 90s. Putting the anti seize on the shaft was a great tip. These things get wet with normal use. They WILL rust together and you can practically destroy the pump trying to get them apart. I wish I had one of those hot water power washers. Those are great for washing engines and emulsifying grease and oil. Nice build Moe. Between that cat pump and that Honda engine, that setup should last you for years.
Last year I picked up a large propane powered hot water/steam pressure washer. It doesn't spray very hard but melts everything and leaves the surface non-greasy. It's a handy tool for sure.
Wow that's a really nice machine. Very impressive. Make sure your garden hose can deliver 4 gallons a minute also. Great video!!
Thanks. It's expensive but I'll be able to make money off of it in years when it time to move it along. In the mean time I'll get a lot of work out of it.
I have had 4 washers come in this month. You are right
I haven't had any all year, but years past they're coming in all the time.
I had one come in with a bad motor not pump. Of course I used a motor from another washer that had the pump die.
i just wanna know why your profile picture is your lawnmower
i replaced my blown no name pump w/a comet pump on a honda eng years ago... been working fine... your 100% right..... no one cares or realizes the quality of the pump... great video
Those no name pumps are destined to fail. It's kind of a shame.
I'm note sure what pump is on my dad's but it's been running 20 years at least and is probably his most used small engine. It put it up against a cat pump any day. I'll check and see what is is and update. I'd also recommend turning the pump down ever time before you kill it, makes starting easier and extends pump life.
I like the setup, plan on doing something similar next summer
Thanks.
Just picked up a gx340 with a cat pump for $100. I got it running and the pump works, the pressure bypass valve needed the spring and ball re aligned. That was it! I was so excited i got it working. Just need a cart and sort out some plumbing.
That's awesome
Nice assembly using some recycled part. Thanks for the info on the pumps. I just missed getting one of these at the local dump that looked like new. As I was driving out someone dropped it off but one of the workers “ helped” him roll it away. Missed it by seconds. Maybe next time. Hey stay well, JoeZ.
Thanks. Yeah, can't get them all.
Very nice job. Good looking unit.
spec calls for 18hp at 4gpm/4kpsi
nice pump btw, good setup
may want to consider a 1" supply if your unloader is pushing 4gpm.
your advice on not leaving the water in bypass is spot on
Yes, to be more than safe 18hp would handle this effortlessly. I did have a 16hp and 18hp on standby if this 13hp Honda didn't cut the mustard. Cat calls out for 11hp electric with this pump and notes that gas engines vary, but don't give an exact number. HP really means nothing in a gas engine and torque is the only true figure. HP is heavily based on the simple speed of the engine, multiplied by the torque. By simply making the engine spin fast I can make a 13hp engine put out 18hp but nothing changes the true power number: torque. Anyways, convert the required spec 11hp electric to torque and you get 17 foot pounds as being the required force to turn this pump. The specs for a Honda gx390(13hp) is actually only 11.7 true HP but 19.5foot pounds of torque which is ample. It has no issue putting out the full power of the pump. In the past, engine manufactured fudged hp numbers significantly to increase sells. Years ago a massive lawsuit encompassed all of them and they paid some pretty big settlements. That is why most everything you'll see these days is only sold under torque or simple displacement numbers.
sixtyfiveford your response pretty much sums up why I think you've got the best channel on youtube
Great video. I almost bought a cheap washer until I did my research including this video. I will get a commercial one like yours
I'm extremely happy with how it works.
Bend the end of the nozzle a little to counter the force coming out of the nozzle...you can tweak it so it basically balances and you don't get tired as fast.
Worst advice. Bending the shaft will cause more stress on the arms. Instead of pushing straight back it will push opposite direction of the bend. If you bend it downward then it'll be pushing back and up. Then your fighting to keep it forward and down.
I have a 13yo Black Max 2800 psi that I bought at Sam’s and it’s still running strong. I haven’t been that great with maintenance and winterizing and it always starts on the first or second pull….
Wow! What a great and useful video bro! Thank you! 👍
General Pumps have served me well fo
r years. I bought the exact same Cat pump and one of the plastic valve things already broke .
Yes, but General Pumps makes high end and low end homeowner grade so I don't generally make the blanket statement that people should buy them. The point I was trying to make in the video is you get what you pay for. A $600 Generally pump is going to be just as good as an AR, CAT, etc. I generally recommend CAT simply because they don't make budget homeowner pumps.
*I put a Mi-T-M 3600psi 3.5gpm pump on my $300 simpson honda washer and it works great. Got the pump new for $220 so paid $520 total and have a real nice washer. Only weighs 75 lbs too.*
That sounds like a good combo. What motor is on it and is it horizontal or vertical?
@@ciphercode2298 *It's a little 6hp gc190 engine and horizontal shaft engine. The engine may be putting out a little more than 6HP now because I ported the muffler and re-jetted the carb and it runs the pump pretty strong.*
First video I seen were you build the pump then ran the pump.....great job!!!!
Thanks for watching.
I have 9 hires Honda with a3g30 annovi rebervari 3000/ 3 gal pump I bought in 98 and still runs fine!
Just make sure all the fittings before the pump and up to the bypass valve are stainless or brass (preferably brass). I'm having to replace the pump on my pressure washer, an Annovi Rebevari 2200psi 3gpm because someone had originally installed a galvanized T where the bypass line attaches to the input, and it rusted on the inside. There was also what looks like a stainless 90 degree elbow coming out of the pump, going to the regulator, but inside it's all full of rust. I'm replacing it with the same pump as of course the Honda engine has tons of life left (the original pump lasted 23 years). It would've lasted longer if it weren't for the rust getting into it. One of the ceramic pistons cracked (either from rust build up, or possibly from freezing- hard to say for sure), and once a piston is cracked, it doesn't make sense to rebuild. A new pump is cheaper at that point.
Love your videos man, so much information. Got a pressure washer from my father that he built, I think the pump is going bad now tho.
Thanks for watching.
If it’s a good pump you can salvage it cheap with parts.
The Tecumseh pressure washers at Costco last about a year, so I take them back and buy another every year. It's always the motors that go out on those ones. The last one, the engine started knocking like the oil wasn't getting to the top of the engine. Had the right amount of oil. The bold were unscrewing
Think I will stick with COMET pumps
Had them all my life and never repaired very many
👍👍
Thanks for sharing and take care.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video! Do you know where I can get the bolts for the gx390 that you used to bolt the pump to the engine? I can’t seem to find the size of the bolts anywhere.
I've been wanting to build a stationary pressure washer driven by an electric motor with a switch, instead of a water trigger. I don't like running them either. But I was stumped on good quality high pressure pumps. The cheap electric one I had is virtually ineffective. It's not supposed to run constantly either, but does. I'm probably doing an autopsy on it soon.
I searched for things you can do with pressure washer pump and got this video. This would be a good idea. Sometimes obvious things are oblivious. Thank you.
OMG I am uploading a video now of a pressure washer I built. I used the same Honda engine and almost the same cat pump!!!!!! I cant believe it. lol I thought I was the only one who would do this! I git the pump for free as well!!!! great job1
That's awesome.
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you big fella.
Great job sir and nice post. I've done the same thing. Looked like a 8 or 9 hp engine. I had a cat pump that gave out on me so I've used general pumps to make a couple power washer and thinking about one more. I may use a cat this time around northern hydraulics stop selling the pumps I used and they were pricey 357 $ but last forever so far
Martin Schaffm. There are a lot of people that really like the General pumps. Cat pumps must sell more because even though other brands are equal or possibly better, they have one of the best reputations. A lot of people in the business live Comet as well.
I bought the Home Depot DeWalt unit with the cat pump and Honda GX275 at 3800 psi and 3.5 gpm. I hope it doesn't disappoint. Just ordered it online with the %10 discount.
Can't go wrong with a Cat Pump with a Honda GX series engine.
Legend mate, thanks for helping us out.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
I'm about 6 whole years, late to the party, boy am I glad found your channel...Terrific video thank you!!!
Nice setup Moe! That should more than do the job.
Thanks. Every-time a get a commercial unit in and regret selling it off. Figured it was time to build one.
Another thing that owning a pressure washer enables you to do is clean drain pipes. I had a grease clogged kitchen line that I messed with for years (augers don't do much for grease) until I bought a sewer jetter hose off Amazon for about $60 and hooked it up to my 3200psi Karcher PW. After 10-15 minutes it had the line completely clean. The pros in my area wanted $350 to do it. That's more than I spent on my PW and jetter hose combined!
Thanks for the feedback. I've seen those but have never tried one.
Thanks bro love watching all the videos.
Gomepez Thanks man
Simpson...........been top of the line forever dude.
Honda the best engine to have.i bought a used factory Honda pressure washer for $150 paid for itself 10×
The Kranzle petrol machines they sell in Cape town have a feature which reduce the engine rpm to idle as soon as you let go of the trigger and the water flow stops.
The engine also transfer the power through a reduction gearbox from 3800 rpm to 1400 rpm.
This is more of industrial machinery butt the small machines starting from 150 bar and 13 Liters per minute also includes these features.
I would like one on my riding mower using a pully and clutch added for switching to it instead of mowing - 13.5 HO B&S engine.
Make a video
The problem with that is that the bearings in the pump are not designed to take a side load. The side load from the belt tension would ruin the pump. You would need to use a couplepillow blocks and a jack shaft to have any service life at all.
Why would u even wanna do something that silly
great one try putting a bypass in hoses so when the trigger is off, water will be going around tye pump and get recirculate have tap slightly open on bypass
Love this and would like to know how to configure an on demand water heater or boiler in the mix
Colter Bolton -That would be awesome.
Gotta be careful since not many pressure washers are made for hot water.
aguyandhiscomputer pressure first, then heat.
Good stuff, nice washer........and leaf blower!.....cheers
It pushes leaves better than my leaf blower.
Another useful video. Thanks, great channel!
Thanks.
This is a great video. Thanks for the info.
Thanks Marcus.
The TRIPLEX type of pump, from what I've read, is the best. Looks like that is what he bought.
I own a Generac 3100psi pressure washer. never a issue after 3 years of use. and about the price for a new 4000psi pressure washer with a cat pump and Honda engine cost around $1000
8 years ago Home depot selling Rigid pressure washer 3200 psi with Subaru engine but CAT pump
$300 bucks that was a steal !!!!!!!!!!
now yamaha sells same unit blue color
Dont know about KAT, but HAWK, Comet and AR are all top Italian HP pump that are equally reliable. Either ways, with such a powerful Honda engine, having a gearbox reduction drive couple with low RPM high pressure pump, would work much better and last longer then combo you chose. Your setup is more suited to GX16/200 engines.
Great catch for your dog!!!!! It must have attachment for soap.
It does have a soap attachment.
Learned a little Today. Thanks for the Video
Thanks for watching.
Really appreciates that pump picks it and puts it down 80 times 😂😂 thanks CZcams for the recommended. 👍
Thats is a really nice pressure washer. I know have a project coming up
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
Love your vids mate, always really useful info about stuff that I can use at home, some things tricky to do in the UK but always helpful, nice work !!!
Thanks Ian. -Moe

What pressure pump you use
Brand and model pls.
Thanks
Excellent vid my man!
Thanks for watching.
There's several other pump producers that make a good pump. Giant pumps in Toledo is one for sure. But yea, if you have a Cat you know you have a good machine.
For sure there are others with great pumps. I just think Cat is the most well known.
Awesome video!
Great video, I think a great pump to mate to a GX390 is an annovi reverberi, i have seen multiple of these with close to 800 hours. Hardly ever a pump oil change because they get overlooked when rented. I change the oil on these and its green and milky. Obviously a failing pump but still puts out 4000 psi at 3.5 gpm with an oil change, and reliably too.
And they never had a rebuild, only new inlet strainer and gaskets for the hoses
AR makes good and super budget pumps. Just steer clear of the budget pumps and you'll be good.
@@sixtyfiveford good point, thanks for the heads up
Good info on pump brands!
Thanks for watching.
I just did the same thing but I made mine a belt drive an used a GP pump an a gx390 4000 psi at 4.0 GPM
Belt drive is the way to go for ultimate longevity.
Love the dog at the end too!
She loves to jump.
CAT pumps are awesome !
I've been impressed with them.
Thanks that was a pretty informative vid.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
Great vid, thank you
Good info from the master! Cheers
No master, but thanks.
What pump would you recommend for a belt driven set up? I have the same Honda engine and it is paired with a Mi-T-M pump 3-0142. (3500 psi 3.5GMP) Pump is getting water in the oil. I have considered rebuilding it but I have found that a full rebuild is almost the same cost as a new pump.
I was thinking about putting a pressure washer to gether using an old mighty mac sprayer frame, kind like a wagon frame. My question: Pros and cons of directly bolting the pump to the engine vs belt drive?
Direct Drive Pump Pros: Compact design, lower cost, more efficient Cons: More vibration and heat from motor transferred to pump, higher rpm
Belt Driven PumpPros: Longer life from lower RPM, belt absorbs vibration, won’t overheat.Cons: More maintenance, higher cost, less efficient.
Can i use electric motor instead ? 2 hp would it be enough ? Thanks great
Nice Setup
Thanks Man.
You may recall my work to repair a surging engine on a xr2500 washer. Turned out to be the plug, unit now runs perfectly and believe it or not, is officially 14 years old. I winterize engine and run rv antifreeze thru pump regularly. Anyway, got the bug and bought a powerstroke 3100 elec start w Subaru engine and 2.4 gallons. Disappointing, cleaned worse than my 14 yr old xr2500. Took back to hd and while there, they had a dewalt 3800 w a GX270 and a aaa Simpson triplex pump at 3.5 gallons on clearance for $550 vs 800$. Huge difference. Was happy w Xr2500 but this thing is smooth and very powerful. Not the best rated pump in the world but if I can get 14 out of a cheap xr I’m sure I can get years out of a cml rated AAA pump.
14years is impressive. But you took care of it, where most people just use it and put it back in the shed for 8 months. It's a huge improvement when your washing with 3.5gpm vs 2.5ish.
Totally agree with you, consider myself very lucky. Besides taking care of it, I put very few hours on it. With that said, the new dewalt is smooth and powerful, big improvement. While my old one still looks and works good, I’m going to sell it bc the pump must have limited life remaining. Always enjoy your videos, watched it twice now
Not cheap but high quality very well worth it awesome job
True, but far cheaper than buying one with the same specs.
What size are the mounting bolts that u need to mount the 4.0gpm cat pump to the Honda gx390? Where can I buy a kit with the bolts?
My honda engine crapped out before my pump 😐 just my luck haha. And i never ever left the engine on unless i was spraying
That's a monster of a pump but I'll remember the name. I've had the same motor and on my second pump. If I don't get it winterized I won't have this pump either. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks.
Great video, great info.
Lol nice leaf blower but I've been wanting to do the same thing except get a a reel and a couple hundred feet of hose and use it as a hydro Jetter for drains mounted on a trailer with its own water source we do work for KFC and Popeyes here in Memphis and their drains stopped up all the time from Grease and it would be small enough to go down the floor drain and past the P-trap
I was washing the sidewalk and notice leaves were scattering even where the water wasn't touching. It pushes a cushion of air in front of the water and pushes leaves effortlessly. That would probably pay for itself pretty quick doing commercial work.
Cat pumps have never let me down
That's what everyone tells me. I really only have experience with what I have to constantly fix and Cat isn't one of them.
That's one hell of a leaf rake, too!
It's my new go too for moving leaves.
