trade still seems quite vulnerable to any age 2 aggression, but the gold income is actually insane.
Yeah early trade seems too risky, either your traders or the neutral post can get atacked and lose a lot
@@davidpereira5969 If the trader manages to make a single trip, from one side to the other, it already paid itself off and the market it was produced from with the strategy Crackedy used. So it doesn't really matter if the trade gets killed after a few minutes since you are still making profit and the attack is not in your base where your villagers are so you gain extra time to mount a defence with extra resources.

So.. in general the GPM is not that great, villagers should be able to outgather trade. But yeah civs like Mali / Ottomans for example that gain boosted trade will outgather. It's also: This map is pretty perfect for trade :D
i love how cracked build up his base with his strategy. it would be hard against a top pro to pull it off like that but still really fun to watch

Askazar is just a plat 2 player sadly, so yea, this strat was nice to see but probably harder on pros or high level.
If you are going to go aggressive you have to keep up the pressure. Push supposedly started at 9:30. But then just stalls out until defender hits Imperial Age at 14:53. That is an insane amount of free downtime to give any player in AOE4. And they will punish you for it.

Build markets at neutrals, build one market far away. Take the markers at neutral, Rally to the one you built far away FIRST, then rally them to neutral. Not Malian specific but means they pick up immediately and then drop off after one trip instead of 2.

If he did it during fuedal, yes.
That was a hilarious game. But i feel it only works against booming civs like HRE, China and Abbasid. Anyone else will do too much fuedal pressure. The real mistake was not attacking the other walls and attacking the trade.

maybe on the rank/ladder but competitive no. Maybe on the corridor maps an easy to wall kind of maps.
it definitely work vs booming civ like HRE or Chinese and the map that easy to wall off . other than that criteria it wont work

Askazar definitely should have pushed when he had the chance. Why did he just make men at arms and just have them sit in front of Crackedy's base lol? I just don't get that. Such a waste of resources/time.
Malians should be rated 1 out of 3 stars for difficulty with all there passive income to gold and food. I thought they were gonna be difficult to use.
