    This song appeals to my classic rock blues side.

      Absolutely agree, justin and wife seem to hear something completely different to me on this one, Manners feels like late 60's and 70's blues/jazz/rock which is right in my wheelhouse. If pop was like this then I'd be listening to pop music 24/7

    This is the first half of a double bill - the song 'Black Hole' follows on from this on the MV. And, at 220 BPM, it's a banger!

  • @cats-eyes
    @cats-eyes Před 2 lety +12

    To be honest, you should have reacted to this video along with the "Black Hole" that followed. If it was just "Manners" then you should have reacted to the music video for this song. Because this video is a good way to compare the slow old rock Manners with the fast, progressive song Black Hole at 220bpm and to see their diversity.

    Thank you for the reaction video on my favorite band, “Band Maid” one thing I can say about all of their songs is that Bass and Drums make them sound so full and rich. I won’t complain about not watching the second song on the video, “Black Hole” because you are going to hear about it from everyone else 😂. I just appreciate the time and effort you put in to make this video.

    Good call on Blink 182. Opening drum pattern almost identical to that of "Miss You". I listened to both songs a million times, but never noticed that. Hey, what happened to the maid outfit?

    This song comes from their Unseen World album 2021 in which they wanted to satisfy their fans who like all genres of rock from classic to metal. The Live MV of this song and Black Hole together shows the complete range. So, some people will always have their favourites.

  • @robertmiranda298
    @robertmiranda298 Před 2 lety +8

    The best part of this MV is "BLACK HOLE" and you missed it. This 2-fer-1 MV just shows how versatile their music is. You have the slow funky rocknroll beat of MANNER'S and then it moves into the 220 bpm of BLACK HOLE. Your loss✌️

    It really does not matter if Black Hole does follow. Manners can stand alone and needs no follow up song to make it better. One of the best songs on Unseen World. Totally 80's Rock and a surprising cool ending. Can find no Pop in it only, an ability of a composer which I never heard in any other band. Kanami, Kanami, Kanami.😄👍

    This version is so good! They added that incredible intro by Akane & Misa and slowed the song down just a bit from the released M/V and I think it made it so much better.

    • @philproffitt8363
      @philproffitt8363 Před 2 lety

      It just 'feels' slower. Playing both videos in separate tabs, synced when Saiki starts to sing...they track the same, all the way to the end including the chill slow down. I think because MISA is louder, and I believe she doesn't follow the click-track...gives the song a more ponderous slow impression. I like both equally.

    I understand the need for content creators to produce more content for their channel because of how the YT algorithm works. (How else would I have found you?) So, it would make sense to split the two songs.
    However, the decision to split Manners/Black Hole is an unfortunate one because the effect from hearing the differences between the two songs for the 1st time is lost.
    It's not that serious. You're not the first one to do this and you won't be the last.
    Anyway, having said all that, I enjoy your reactions to Band-Maid and my other favorite, Rush. And finally (ikr) thank you for putting in the work.

      I get it.
      Not that it mattera, but we did record our reactions back to back. And yes very stark difference in songs. Even in reaction. Camilla like one, I liked the other. Thanks for your input!

    Heh...I was the cause of one reaction channel doing three separate reactions to Domination. He did the MV first, I told him he needed to see the live and he came up with one live video I hadn't seen in a long time, and then I told him "You're going to hate me for this, but that wasn't the right one either." He got it right on the third try.
    But really, who cares when you get to listen to more Band-Maid?

    That was 'Manner' not 'Different'. That was a joke. But seriously, if you haven't checked out 'Different'. Do. It pairs well with the other song with 'Manner', 'Black Hole'. The Horns are because BAND-MAID makes the songs as close to the Albums as possible. They may change the solos from time to time, but whatever they can't play LIVE goes on their backing track. That's not to say they can't play without it. They have. The airline lost the luggage once. They just rented a PRS and moved some songs around on the set list. They were more worried about the sneakers they bought in L.A.

    Nice reaction. This actually one of my Band Maid favorites. I dig the groove. But I do agree they need to lose the horn track in the break down. It doesn't need it , and actually takes away from the song in my opinion. If I have any criticism on the Japanese bands, it's that they do tend to over elaborate at times. Looking forward to the next reaction.

    I found this to be more like classic rock. Not pop at all. But then each hears differently. But it's very blues centric rock. You can depend on them having a variety of stuff.

    Band-Maid are an awesome band! I would love to see you react to another of the hottest all female rock/metal Japanese bands called Nemophila. Suggestions for a first time reaction to them would be Revive, Raitei, or Dissension. They also have a new single called Adabaya coming out next week on 6/22. Thanks again for a great reaction!

      Wow you think Black Hole is more pop than this?! that's wild. I loved Black Hole (reaction out soon) but nowhere near pop. It was chaotic madness.. (is that a genre!??!!)

    If the song doesn’t have screams or things like that it becomes a pop song ?
    Did you pay attention the way they were playing their instruments? The bass killed this song.

    • @JustinPanariello
      @JustinPanariello  Před 2 lety +1

      the song is a more poppy song. Has nothing to do with screaming. Yeah the bass player plays a all the notes in most of their songs... just wait til Black Hole.. no note goes unplayed.

      The synth lines are there in the MV, it's just really far back in the mix. The best you can hear them is at two minutes and 33 seconds of the MV.
