I’m allergic to dogs and still have two labs. If you get a dog when it’s a puppy you get used to that certain dog’s aroma and fur so your allergy for that dog isn’t that bad. Hope he gets a dog soon!
Ah, I didn't know this, I found out I am allergic to dogs when we brought our lab, But eventually I got used to touching him without having any rash but I get itchy and have rash when I touch other dogs.

I was also allergic to cats but with slow exposure to them & slow treatment, i got used to cats within a year. Now I've 7 babies & 3 foster babies

There are dogs that are hypoallergenic.. one breed is Yakutian Laika it's similar to a Samoyed & a Husky, fun fact: they're hunter's dogs/sled dogs and has thick furs because their breed lives in one of the coldest place on Earth (where it's about -60°C during winter & -8°C on average)..

There's this place in the Long Island, NY area called Puppy Palace, my parents took me there on my birthday this year as a surprise. It's primarily an adoption place, but they have this thing where you can pay for a certain amount of hours and you get to pick a certain amount of puppies to play with for that duration in an enclosed area.
Not only that, they have a service where if you're having a party or an event, they will rent out the puppies to you. Like they have a truck and they will drive the puppies over to you for the event. Just throwing that out there.

my dog is an aussiedoodle (australian shepherd poodle mix); he’s hypoallergenic and doesn’t shed. tbh this dude is my best friend, goes with me basically everywhere, and is my emotional support buddy. cuddles with him make everything better :(

There are dogs that furs don't come off... like Shih Tzus or Chow chows, there are quite a few dogs thay are hypoallergenic.
I own a pure bred Shih Tzu dog, so its also quite necessary to decide if you are allergic with furs. I have an asthma so I'm not allowed to snuggle a furry dog even though I like big ones with fluffy like cloud hairs(cries in pain and envy🥲) so good for you❤
