      1. On a pass, wait for him to come to you. He’s trying to get behind you. So keep your base and move backwards as you need to however don’t open up your base because the main goal is keeping him outside the pocket.
      2. On a run, make sure you’re stepping with your right foot first so you can get to him that much faster. Losing steps can be the difference between getting there and not.

@@PhatomKevinplayz_ since youre on the lighter side I'd say just make sure your low on runs which is what most coaches will tell you because momentum and leverage is how you beat the heavier players. On passes drop your butt when someones bull rushing you. The lower you drop it the harder it is for them to push you. Above all I'd say just footwork. Make sure to not waste steps because it is important to do your job on the play as quickly as possible. If your looking for extra work off the field using an agility ladder is great practice. and also if they have sleds at your field practice firing off on those. It's a great way to practice coming out of your stance in different directions. good luck and have a good season.

Work on your speed so you can keep your body in front of the d end when he sheds your blocks. If you stay in front of him, he can't make the tackle.
