Great video! I’ve been going back and forth between this and the insta360 flow. I like the simplicity of the insta but the more pro look and feel of the M6. Tough to decide - mostly need something reliable to capture corporate events via mobile.
Hey! I need to do a video on the insta! In my opinion if you’re focusing on self recording the Insta360 is clutch, super fast deploy and your off to the races. I like it a lot! But if you’re going to shoot corporate and other subjects and want to do more than standard angles, the Hohem is potentially a better pick. The Insta is limited in the angle of shots do to the mechanics of the gimbal arms where as the Hohem can shoot at any angle. The insta software is great for the AI presets, etc. but limits you to the software where as the Hohem AI features can work with most 3rd party apps as well in case you want to take advantage of like black magic camera app, etc. they’re both really great for their use cases. But Hohem is more client work capable in my opinion. But, I’d say definitely continue to grab opinions as you narrow in on your decision :)
135 euro here in europe at the moment. I'm only going to use it for snowboardingvids, but i guess its worth it for that price!

Question: you mentioned the Hohem M6 works with other apps. Any idea if it can be used with the Blackmagic app? That has a bunch of great filmmaking features, so having the massive benefit of a gimbal w/auto tracking would be killer. Thanks again, appreciate you!
Hey it does! As the sensor is truly controlled with the gestures. But, I’m not sure if you can use it for all functions, like zoom, etc. let me play with it tomorrow and see if I can test out some detailed functions for you. I have to make a TikTok on another product so it’s good timing! Stay tuned and I’ll test it tomorrow and get back to you :)
Hey I checked it out today and you can use all gimbal based actions with the m6 no problem, meaning you can use the different follow modes PF,PTF, POV, etc. you can use the gestures to follow you, you can also use the features like triple click for selfie mode, etc. but you can only use the record button regarding the software. Can’t control zoom and things like that without touching phone. I hope this helps

Have you tried the Hohem MT2? That gives the ability to use an action cam, phone or mirrorless camera.
I haven’t but would love to try it out. They have an attachment bracket to hold a mobile phone on the gimbal frame as well so that you could get vertical and landscape video at the same time! It’s kind of neat!!
