Honestly when Lucy says you’re doing really well she is absolutely right Rob! So hard to understand ‘feel’ but when you do it’s in every pace and every movement! Fabulous teaching too Lucy definitely not an easy job teaching your partner 😂💪🏻

Very impressed with his riding capabilities! For someone who is quite the newbie under saddle he should be very proud.
Absolutely brilliant mate. Am in exactly the same boat at the moment 35 years old never rode a horse in my life but currently having lessons to purely go hunting. It’s harder than it looks. Keep at it mate hopefully see you on the hunting field one day

I'm amazed at how quickly children and boyfriends seem to learn haha :D I think it's because their often not as scared, they just do it? I've been riding for five years and literally took three of those to not die of anxiety in the saddle so I always feel I'm so behind with my skills and not all as good as I should be. Bit jealous of Rob haha but no he really is doing so well. He actually seems interested in learning and horsemanship and he's so calm and gentle. Plus, Zach is such a lovely horse and Lucy does well instructing him :)

The two of you are so lovey together, so clearly happy. Yay! And wow, so impressed with Rob's riding. Zac was feeling more than a little fresh and Rob handled him brilliantly. Such lovely quiet, soft hands.
He's a natural! Well done Rob, just a bit of fine tuning and you will be along side Lucy and Justine at the front of the field. My Mum used to say, to any prospective suitors, love me, love my horse. I think Rob is doing a great job.

You two are a great team. Rob is a champ for having a lesson, in a field and his girlfriend as instructor. Lucy, great job as trainer, very positive throughout the whole lesson. Zack is a good boy.
Oh my goodness, this video made my little heart so happy. He did so well, and Zack is such a sweet and good boy!! I cannot get over how well his rising trot is for someone who is new to riding... that takes many people MONTHS to "get"! Absolutely loved this from start to finish, Lucy.

Wahoo! You converted him into a horsie guy! Nice work. 😊 I’m telling you - something is Cavill-esque about him. Maybe it’s the hair and the set of his eyes, but he reminds me of Henry when he played Sherlock in Enola Holmes. Anyway, he did a great job on Zack (who is such a great horse!).

Robbo's a keeper! ☺any lad that wears R.M.Williams boots is a top fella with style. 🤠 And tell you what - not only does he look like a horse guy with that Champion anti-mush mellon protector... but his ' short neck lama' 🐎paddock catching shown his natural horse skill ability. See how Laura didn't want to get caught - but when Robbo went fine and started walking off with Zack - Laura went - oh! I come to now, you can catch me... nice job Rob! ps: can he model more men's riding gear- we rarely see any riding gear for the boys. 👍💪👏👏👏👏

I love that Rob is riding!! I think it's awesome that he's even trying it, and that he's progressed as much as he has...Good for him!!! Rob, seriously, you spend time riding, and practicing, and you're going to end up being a good rider. You have a very natural seat on a horse, and soft hands like Lucy said. Until someone gets on a horse, and really tries riding, they have no idea how much work is involved in someone becoming a capable rider, and capable of working with horses in general. Years of work goes into a rider becoming as good as Lucy, and Meg, etc...Lucy, Rob is a keeper. Hanging out at the barn with you, and as handsome as he is. I can't stop smiling for you. Lol.

Rob did so well - I totally empathize with his sense of feeling ‘off’ - equitation is so strange when you first get into it. But it grows on you if you let it! As others have said, Rob seems to be a natural - his hands are supple and soft and Zach was truly responsive.
Yes! Finally I can show my husband another man learning to ride 🎉 I was kinda annoyed though that Ben got rising trot far quicker than I did 😂

Wahoo!! In my old territory, Chobham. No idea if it is still there but there was a great pub called The Running Mare. Congrats Rob. You did great! Lucy did an amazing job teaching unlike me with my husband. I did get very frustrated at times, hence really didn't work out for him. The piesta de la resistance (sp?) was when he did this amazing pirouette on a former top class Dressage horse that I usually rode and didn't know what he was doing.
