Cloudpuff and Zipp were probably my favorites and IMHO the most accurate on accout that they seemed to fit the personalities.

Even though the ponies are supposed to be horses I keep forgetting they are, simply because they are in fact shaped so differently and can do things that horses can't.
To me they are a very different kind of creature resembling a pony horse, but if they were in fact real I think they would look very different and you couldn't think of them as horses.
They are a more cute version of a pony and because their face is so expressive I almost think they could somehow be human by a very small percentage.
so really these horses could never be the ponies in real life.
If anything I think a real life my Little pony would be like a hybrid between a horse and a goat.
When there was the G1 series, there was a normal horse ridden by Megan Williams, and you could see the differences and only the eyes and face looked similar.
But from the start the ponies looked like different creatures.
Heck they looked like cats in the short series known as Pony Life.
