Low Budget Scale Modeling. Would happily admit that when it comes to most sports, you Americans do them bigger and better than us... but banger racing... your DDs just seem so tame in comparison.

always wanted to see an imperial in british banger racing. you see then in yank derbys an they never buckle, very very strong car, but impossible to get!

Another once beautiful Imperial bites the dust...but it does not surprise me one bit that it was the winner...I have heard that Imperials were banned because they were built so well and dominated demo derbies. a sad ending for such a great car? if it was complete and solid, yes...but if it was rusted out then I'd say no...out in a blaze of glory..king of the track.

If that imperial had an interior it could have sold for a few thousand dollars here in Canada. A right hand drive?....rare here.

Dont understand how people can use those classics in these races,
Because its the most spectaculair.
They can hit hard without instant break down.
And offcourse the classic cars themselves can take a lot of punishment, from other cars
Don't blame the banger lot, the former owners are the ones who have lt their classic cars rot away to the point that banger racing is all they're good for.

I've been to numerous derby's, and figure 8 races. I've never seen anything like this either. These guys are absolutely Insane!!!
