Thank you so much!! I messed up a body trying to install door handles. I used a Tamiya ts paint color so I had to use a few cans of clear Tamiya ps-55 first and then I finished with black so I have 3 layers of paint at 2-3 cans per layer so a lot of money invested but the hole was just so ugly I was considering throwing it out. Going to try this. Really hope it works!

Awesome tip! Just to add to it, you could also use a tape (masking tape or thick tape) on the other side when the surface is not flat.
