- (CBS NEWS) President Biden signed into law a long-sought foreign aid package on Wednesday that includes tens of billions of dollars in assistance to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, along with a measure that could lead to a ban on TikTok in the U.S.
"It's a good day for America, it's a good day for Europe and it's a good day for world peace," Mr. Biden said in remarks from the White House. "It's going to make America safer, it's going to make the world safer and it continues America's leadership in the world and everyone knows it."
The Pentagon soon announced a new round of military aid for Ukraine worth roughly $1 billion. The aid package is the largest drawdown of weapons from Defense Department inventories for Ukraine since January 2023.
The president said the U.S. would begin sending weapons and military equipment to Ukraine "in the next few hours."
"We are going to begin sending equipment to Ukraine for air defense munitions, for artillery, for rocket systems and armored vehicles," Mr. Biden said.

I think you need to go look up how military aid and spending actually works. When we send equipment aid to other countries we are not sending them new stuff. We are basically sending them our stockpiles that are about to expire and need to be (and will be) replaced anyways. In effect those aid packages are actually being dumped directly into our economy not theirs. People have to make that equipment (jobs), resources for said equipment also need to come from somewhere (More jobs and trade flow).

It's only losing due to lack of military aid, with NATO countries promising a further $100bn, the tide will turn. Sometimes there's a cost for doing the right thing, even maga politicians are now appreciating the amount of Russian disinformation they have been fed.

Every American who supports Russia over Ukraine doesn't care about democracy or freedom and might be better off in some place like Russia where you can't say anything bad about Putin or his government. If Putin is successful in Ukraine it won't stop there and that would be very bad for America.
