That was the first song of theirs I heard in late 70's as a teen. Bour'ee was next and it had my curiousity so hard. Locomotive Breath was next and I was hooked. I have never heard a song by them I did not like ) They were rock, blues, classical, folk and medieval sounding. The composing and playing are just so good.
Well you scored again especially with the Steven Wilson edition. Hopefully you won't regret my suggestion of this one. Back in the day it was considered a concept album featuring a central theme of "the distinction between religion and God", but the band have said there was no intention to make a concept album, and that only a few songs have a unifying theme and was played considerably on progressive rock stations. I had the pleasure of seeing them perform this live when it came out in 1971 in New Orleans, Louisiana. I have this as one of my favorite albums of all time. My personal favorite song on it is "My God". Be prepared for plenty of flute from frontman and founder Ian Anderson who is quite a showman and awesome in live performances. Being it is a concept album maybe you should consider doing a whole side at a time as some ease into to others and create a flow. Awaiting your next entry of it. Cheers.
Thank you my friend - A Super suggestion. “Part 2” on this album ? Will be up very S👀N… I Got to know where this album going - and with a Flute’ you say! 👀 Big Cheers
An excellent buy indeed, this whole album is great, but keep a look out for their other albums (each one has a different theme/sound, but is still Tull). Tull are a UK band that are a genre unto themselves, but certainly elements of Prog, Folk, Medieval, Rock, Classical are in there.
( K tampoco me gustan y no me importa).
One of my favourite albums. Thanks for your review.
