We sometimes forget that: there are christians in Jerusalem....not only muslims and jews. We need to be with our brothers.
Not many of us Christians left unfortunately
@@nunchristina why is that friend yes we both know why godbless you
@Peter Yam Yam 54 too much persecution. If you are any religion except for the preferred, then you have very limited work opportunities and it's dangerous to be around the prejudice army. We as nuns, don't have these specific issues, but we have others for example I've been spat on a lot lately, I've been pushed for no reason and the list goes on
@@nunchristina God knows your suffering soon a earthquake will destroy the anti christ A plaque of locusts were sent a few months ago god's heart cry's for you
some of us don’t, anyone researching and finding out what Israel does to Palestinians both Christian
and Muslims and yet still support Israel are definitely not Christian.
This is deep joy!
Shoutout to our Orthodox Christian brothers and sisters and to all the good people around the world from Serbia!
I can see the joy and happiness in the ovservers faces.
🇵🇸Hvala
Assyrian Christian from Iraq here, this is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing. ❤
Orthodox people from the Brazil! Peace and grace!
Christ is Risen
@@nunchristina Indeed He is Risen!
Well, that is enough to warm the heart of this Orthodox Christian with Scottish ancestry. I never realised our Arab and Syrian brothers were so close to us, and that warms my heart even more. God be with you all!
Christ is Risen!
There is NO connection...what we see is a combination of girl guides, boy scouts, silly uniforms, mimicry of Scotts Regimental Pipers from the time of the British Protectorate, Moslems key keepers from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, with the Greek Orthdox clergy. Its all a big mish mash and a sign of cultural confusion and mess.
@Alex462047
the orchestra really interpreted it wonderfully, congratulations
Just a littel history fact, middel eastern aren't arabs, they never were. True arabs are those who live in the gulf. The middel east was conolinsed by arabs and you can guess what happened then( cultural assimilation, perscutions etc. ) So Middel eastren ( syria, lebanon, palestine, israel etc.) Were never arabs from the begining. That's why they don't look like the the true arabs . Have a beautiful day. Truly He is Risen ✝️.
Love from Greece to my Orthodox brothers and sisters!

@@nunchristina out off topic but some people in the band looks like Northern European are there boys who don’t look Palestinian actually palestinians??? Just curious I have seen Syrians and Libanese who looks western but never palestinians? Greetings from BELGUIM
@Jamel B the band is Orthodox. And there were MANY Orthodox before the 6 day war. Most of those many migrated back to the country of origin (especially the Greeks) but of those that stayed, there are many nationalities.
And on top of that, many Orthodox have married people who are not native to Israel in any way. For example a good friend of mine here married a Finnish man.
Many of those Orthodox study overseas for more opportunities and some will marry outside of their race and settle the family here.
I don't know if that makes any sense lol
Long story short. Many Orthodox here that are not native Palestinians.
Who needs a DJ when you have talent like this ❤
😂
Raised Lutheran. Never felt right. This video absolutely sealed the deal. The true religion of my soul is Orthodox. 🤯
Christ is risen, brother! Orthodoxy is thrue ☦☦☦

Was it all the children ???? I feel another enquiry coming on!
Welcome to the true faith, One Holy Apostolic Church. I pray my uncle and his family leave Martin Luthifers church.
Christ has risen! This is so beautiful. The Arab Orthodox are full of life, full of vitality.
Very nice, thank you for this video. Greetings from Romania.
We love Romania and their support of us Orthodox Christians in the Middle East. ❤
Orthodox people from the BULGARIA! Peace and grace!
What a unique procession. That's a really good pipe and drum band!
Seriously? The pipes sound like they are strangling a bunch of cats.
Die Mischung aus Schottisch, Gugge und arabisch klasse. Am Besten gefällt mir aber das jung und alt, Buben und Mädels miteinander musizieren
@@wolfgangreineke6666 good comments, I was only thinking that I was pleased it was not the Scottish bagpipes being played as they are too loud for that type of close small street, as a kid the pipers playing would hurt my young ears, cheers.
Palestinian and Arab Christians are remarkable people. Maintaining their faith over centuries against all odds. Blessed are they in Jesus' name. Respect from Australia.
It’s hard being Christian in Christs holy land. Unfortunately not many are left. Most Christians Palestinians left. Only 200,000 remains. They face many racism from different directions. It tough being a minority inside of a minority. Don’t forget about the Christian Palestinians and the Christians of the Middle East.
@@Orthodoxpalestinian1 Because of zionist settlers 😂 once upon muslims, christians and ethnic jews were living in peace. But the foreign occupier settlers destroyed it.
And you people are also supporting them.

Western Catholic here, have to say our middle-eastern brethren certainly know how to celebrate the Easter season. God bless.
Nobody celebrates Easter like Orthodox! In Greece it is fantastic!
as a catholic (philippines especially), whether you love or hate the bagpipes, its usage here is just... bueno. god bless you all! :]

I see the Lord in them and with them!
Definitely!
That's a catchy tune. I'll be whistling that all day now lol
These videos of the bands processing on Palm Sunday have brought me such joy! As Christians we read the accounts in the Bible, and meditate on them. These scenes have provided my impoverished imagination sights & sounds to consider, that the entry of Our Lord into the Holy City was probably accompanied by such music. To see the priests, and, finally, the Patriarch, process, with such dignity, joy and radiating love to the crowd gives a tiny glimpse of that great day long ago.
Just amazing video you would never think they would play just like professional bagpipes and drums 💯👍
Just beautiful.
GOD bless you there in the Holy Land.
In Israel, you mean?
Because in Gaza and westbank the number of Christians is dwindling because of the Muslim Arab "niceties".
Thanks sister Christina!
From Romania we love all our Orthodox brothers and sisters ❤
God Bless - Orthodox brother Boy Scout from the USA.
Does your boy scout community also have a band?

That was a very lovely thing I got to watch which i probably wouldve never known existed.
What a wonderful procession ☦️
Thank you for sharing! I live in the United States with two small parishes nearby; it's hard to imagine so many Orthodox Christians all in one place.
We're a minority here too...a persecuted one. It's a different experience when you're in a place like Greece and it's the norm with a church on every block. Glory to God!
@@nunchristina Thanks, Sister (sorry, no monasteries here in Hawaii, unsure about proper form of address). It would be a little different in one of the big cities like New York, more like Greece with multiple churches established by different immigrant communities.
@jberg588 sister is right!
Are you near the myrrh streaming icon?
@@nunchristina Wow, everyone knows about the icon! No, my wife and I attend the Greek church in downtown Honolulu, the icon in question is at the Russian church in Kailua, a small town on the eastern coast of the island of Oahu. We already have a 40-45 minute drive from our home in Central Oahu to get to Divine Liturgy each Sunday, would be at least another 30 minutes to get to the Myrrh streaming icon. We hope to get there someday; our priest gets a generous supply of the myrrh, I have some at home. My wife and I just made one year from our chrismation. What monastery are you with?
@@nunchristina Christians are not persecuted in Israel, stop spreading lies, how can you say you're persecuted when you posted a video showing you freely celebrating your faith(and even with Israeli police securing the event), either you don't know what that word means or you need an history lesson about how real persecution looks like, hint, it's not what we see in the video.
Such a great thing to be represented by these people.
Beautiful! Glory to God .
beautiful!
Blessings to all in the Name of Christ.
This is the Syriac-Orthodox Scout Band.
On a much lighter note, the bagpipes surprised me a bit. Love this!
Descendants of the world's very first Christians~~Palestine is where Christianity began. The Byzantines ruled Palestine from the 4th c. until the Muslim conquest in the 7th c. Although most Palestinians converted to Islam, the Christians who remain are the living stones of the faith.
No palestine nor Israel, rather call It holy land
There is No Palestine....it's Israel
West bank, right bank. It's all Israel. And belongs to God, only.
He and only He decides who gets to stay there. Period. Yes, Christianity existed from the time of Jesus.
Judeia, don't fall on roman's political goals.
Christianity pre-dates Islam.
@@yodaz101 No, Palestine is the correct term. And countries belong to people, not to god.
God bless His Holiness!
Love from America
Congratulations to all our Orthodox sisters and brothers all around the World .
Season's Greetings to Christian brothers and sisters of Jerusalem. Enjoyed the video. Thanks......... From a Jesus loving Hindu Bengali from India..

This was very emotional for me..thankyou sister christina..best wishes for holy week..
Praises be to God on high!
Beautiful tune on those bagpipes. I’ll be humming it all night.
Escorting the Patriarch of Jerusalem down the very road on which Our Lord Himself rode 2,000 years ago...
aren't christians hated or treated poorly in Israel? i didn't know they still exist over there.
@@lcfflc3887yes they are treated very badly especially in Jerusalem during Holy Week
Jerusalem has been destroyed and rebuilt several times
since the Lord rode to the gates. This must be near the Holy Sepulchre?
God bless you all.
I like how processing while holding up a phone looks so right.

There are many challenges to the Christian, and especially the Catholic, faith in the USA nowadays. It is inspiring to watch people--young, old, and all ages in between--express their faith proudly and beautifully. You are an inspiration, at a time when the faithful in America need to be inspired.

Just watching the movie DUNE remake and the Emperor handed over the spice trade and there was a legion of bag pipers playing a cool tune at the ceremonial handover.
When an amazing video comes up in your feed, and you recognize one of your classmates from seminary in America. What a blessing to see him as a priest in Jerusalem!
