I have watched many videos to figure out a DCT or a manual GW a go but couldn’t get a firm answer. Your video clearly shows DCT is the winner and you have proved it by going up on that very high altitude. Thank you for sharing.

Outstanding video and exactly what I was looking for, that is, how does the DCT perform in those kind of conditions? You answered that question on a great mountain road. The DCT appears to perform with total control on descents. I wondered about that. You helped me make up my mind on the new Wing - I’m going DCT! Thanks much.

excessive breaking causes the rotors or drums coming into contact with the break pads is where the excessive heats causes fad and steel warping and impaired performance. the break fluid is relatively uneffected.

Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing. And, after a lifetime of BMWs, I absolutely love my 2020 DCT Tour.

Beautiful decent... engine braking does not illuminate the brake lights so be careful in traffic. Last 20 years on a VTX1800... looking forward to my new 2023 Wing :)

Like driving a car. A manual tranny with a quick shifter and slipper clutch would be my preference over a DCT.

Excellent comprehensive instruction on high altitude riding using proper engine braking. You could be a police EVOC instructor for an agency motor school.

I'm planning on buying a new HGWT; - DCT? Nope. I bought my 1st motorized 2-wheeled vehicle >45 years ago, & the 1st 2 were mopeds, getting me to college & local job & back. DCT, regardless of the benefits, would remind me too much of them, & to me at least, turn it into an 850 lb. moped. I've rented 2 HGWT for a total of 10 days, & both were the manual shift version. IMO, shifting is an integral & immersive part of motorcycling. The DCT would remove some control & feeling of being 1 with the bike. Not to mention, that the DCT version is more expensive, heavier, & I've heard of it being more difficult to control in low speed, esp cornering. I also think, more likely to need expensive & specialized repairs. I think that the jury is still out on any difference in fuel mileage. Bottom line, buy what you love, love what you ride, & do it often & safely.

That boy MHA! Great job out there. Love the content and thank you for it. Keep inspiring. Practicing slow speed skills does make a better rider. Complacency has no place in safe riding. ATGATT every ride and do your pre-ride inspections. T-CLOCS. Maybe you can demonstrate how one can easily do these pre-ride inspection quick and easy. Because I think this can get passed over. Ride safe and ride often.

Definitely an outstanding motorcycle. When I decide to trade in my Victory Vision Tour, this will be at the top of the list!

I would name this ride, especially the hoop de doos, the tail of the stegosaurus. Excellent video and review of the DCT. Have been riding it a year and didn't know it is this good!

Great video! I’ve owned a BMW K1600GT and Grand America. Both outstanding bikes! But got pretty bad arthritis in my left fingers. Very painful and difficult to operate a clutch. In fact dropped in a parking lot due to severe pain.

I liked my 2018 Manual, but liked my 2022 DCT a lot more. A lot of guys liked to bust my chops about it being automatic, but it was easy to keep them in the rearview 🤣 Unfortunately 1 speed bump bottom out and that was the end of the 22 for me. Cracked engine case and 3 months of waiting for it to get fixed. I'll probably pick up a 2023 or 24. Next one will be getting the belly skid plates put on.
