I'm always reminded of a denture top plate I found stuck in a toilet trap when I broke it open. Acted like an occasional valve. Many years before cameras or jetting. I asked if anyone in the home was missing one. Nobody claimed it! LMAO to this day.

When we had a major amount of roots in our pipes, our plumber had us poke holes in a can, fill it with rock salt, and put it in our toilet tank. Salt dissolved in the water and over a short bit of time, the pipes were embedded with the salt and roots never grew in them again. We just kept refilling the can with salt.
You know it is really amazing to watch other plumbers in other countries.. You guys have differences in your plumbing codes as far as I can tell. Your fittings are a bit different from what we use here in the US. Some I like and some I dont but you do a good job for your customers and you go out of your way to help them. I am not sure what you charge for your services but based off of what I see you do I bet your customers are getting more for the money they are paying. I am a plumber and I would lets you service my house!
Sydney is known for some dodgy shit going down . But as he is Maintenance you will see more dodgy jobs cause they cause problems(ie make good videos) than Houses that are set up correctly and work correctly

We don't have boundary traps here.. it just goes all underground to sewer with a vent stack through roof, couldn't do anything you do there here in Canada for sure.
A few cities in the US and Canada now have programs to add boundary traps on homeowners properties at little or no cost to homeowners. Not very good odds yet, but it might be worthwhile checking with your local government to see if there are any programs.
Interesting how you use inches to describe the size of the plunger but meters to describe the depth of the shaft. Here in the states we also use a mixture of metric and imperial measurement units.

Ollie. If there's ants and they need to be got rid of boiling water is probably the best and most environmentally friendly way. The ants will be dead so quick they won't know about it. 😀👍
