Is it that big a word?) but anyhow, he said “I get intimidated so I use big words to impress myself”. Ahhhhhh love his off the cuff humor. Course what he probably wanted to says was “seriously? Completely unrelated but I was watching something and somebody didn't know what Avian meant, and it was even used in the context of a flying creature lol. Idk. Maybe we're just snobby bookworms or watch too much animal planet but I feel like that's not really an obscure word lol. Also nah, it's not really that big a word, but I suppose if you tuned out in history class and have never met any Jewish people there's no reason you'd know it per say lol. But what Tim did is a very gracious technique to help the other person save face and not look like an idiot, rather than just going, "It means peoples displaced from their homeland, DUH!" lol
He was actually born in the UK, but his parents were from Australia and they moved back there when he was young. Either way, Tim Minchin is just a brilliant man.
