    • @britishtea6411
      @britishtea6411 Před 3 lety +21

      Of course it's fake. This is just a concept. With our current understanding of the universe and current level of technology, it is impossible to make a mechanical perpetual motion machine. Also, almost every concept that exists, even if it could some how move perpetually, you couldn't do anything beneficial with it. For it to move perpetually, you must not interfere with it in any way once it starts moving. If you would try to extract work from it, the machine would simply stop moving. All of the work that you extracted from it you would have to put back in for it to move perpetually again, which gives a net 0 gain of energy which doesn't help us :/.
      Maybe one day... but not today.

      The track (the plexiglass supporting the descending weighs) will hold some of the weight and therefore this force will not be used to spin the wheel. The big wheel will end-up in equilibrium and will no longer spin.

    • @isabelanica8001
      @isabelanica8001 Před 4 lety +3

      Many of those shown about these mechanisms do not work. I tried the one with the water bottles and it doesn't work.
      But this seems to me the only one that would have reason, because that plexiglass directs the weight of those wheels left to the axle and right to the outside. so on the left is easier than on the right. That plexiglass does not totally take on weight. It directs it towards the wheel axis while on the right it is further away from the axis towards the outside. what are you saying

    • @leonardocp3749

      No debe de funcionar porque cuando las pequeñas ruedas tocan la pista necesitan energia para subir por esta misma. Por lo tanto la fuerza que llevan las que van bajando son anuladas por las que se mueven por la pista. Debe haber un motor y polea oculto dentro de la estructura imitacion madera y seguramente se energizara por medio de las tuercas sobresalientes de la base. No he tenido oportunidad de estudiar ingenieria ni tampoco he hecho muchos estudios de fisica, pero tengo mucho sentido comun.

      It comes from Earth's gravity.

      gravity is a force not energy. And if it would have been due to earth's gravity as per formula e=mgh and -mgh during upward movement on oneside and downward movement on other side. This could only be perpetual only if there is no loss. Here a lot of loss of energy by sound and friction. So it can never be perpetual. I hope you are getting me.

    Strange thought but couldn’t you use a perpetual motion machine to make it easier to make hand cranked energy or something?

    When we can see the person plugging the machine in, it sorts of blows the illusion. Never lifted it up because there's a plug in the table. And it's obvious when the device is lined up and the plug goes in.

    Can we build a bigger model to get enough energy to power the light in our house?

      Since perpetual motion machines don't work I would say no.

    Due to distribution of mass it rocks back and forth and stops after some time
    Just by looking at it we can tell so much of energy is lost in form of friction and sound so it will lose energy and comes to rest
