Unboxing the new Daiwa Caldia LT 22 2500xh. Comparing it to the Vanford 1000 & Fox Warrior 1000, and testing it out on the River. 2 Pike Landed in a short session, as well as some Chub and Perch off-camera.
Great reel for LRF lure fishing for slightly bigger species like Specimen Chub, Perch, Bass, and Small Pike.

The caldia is a complete beast , its definitely above the stradic& vanford.
21 caldia is same as 22 caldia , 21 caldia is available in different ratios and libe retrieve.
I'm a big fan of daiwa. I had the caldia 21 2500 xh size.she was very nice and powerful but noisy. Thats why daiwa made a new model just 1 year later I hope the 22 is much quite now.nice video

You used vanford and caldia so can you tell me between vanford and caldia which reel is better ???
I haven’t used the Caldia long enough yet to tell. But I would say get a Vanford and then maybe try a Caldia next time.

I have both, 3000 Vanford and 4000 Caldia, both are smooth, I like both but still little bit more the Vanford .. I think Shimano in general has better drag system .. simply drag is more sensitive on Vanford .. so for light lure fishing I would go for Vanford and for heavier work Caldia .. I belive that MQ body is more rigid and suitable for fishign with heavier lures .. when it comes to rotor .. there is noticable progress in both reels .. yo ucan simply feel the lightness of rotor ... but still ...if I had to choose one I would opt for Vanford. If I had to choose the one Caldia : Stradic with bigger lures but still freshwater .. I would go for caldia .. because it is much lighter and performance is comparable .. but the drag on stradic is simply better.
