    Bro, I can't believe you don't have like 10M subscribers. This was insanely helpful, because most other tutorials will tell you to use expensive machines and you simply used your oven and some 3D printed stuff.

    Is it safe to heat the petg in the oven tho? I mean, doesnt it give off toxic fumes? Or was that my ex?

    • @tavrikgannon
      @tavrikgannon Před 2 lety +1

      All plastics give off toxic fumes when heated. The short answer to whether plastics should be heated in conventional cooking ovens is no. The toxic fumes absorb into the interior surface of the oven. Those toxic fumes are reheated Everytime the oven is used for baking. As you can imagine, those toxics fumes will imbed in said baked food. While it likely won't cause immediate danger, the notion has to be made that it is essentially poison being introduced into food over time, and that can cause some undesirable effects on the overall health of those who eat that food.
      While I love these tutorial videos, I do wish that people providing these videos did the research and report the potential health risks of using the oven for both vacforming and food preparation. Tutorials should always cover potential health risks for techniques being used.
      No disrespect intended. Just felt obligated to share useful information to any who watch tutorial videos.
