I am Polish and I love Greece. Everytime I go there I feel like I have been there. In fact my first 3 week holiday on Crete I had like 5 déjà vu.
Funny that my grand grandpa was speaking Greek and Latin as before the WW2 inany schools in Poland they were mandatory languages as you had to read original philosophers in their language. I know it was classic Greek and Latin but I would love to learn these.

Good for you to notice, I was going to think if Spanish people would understand Greek because of its root, so I was kind of right about that note. Of course, they are way different though in some ways.
Γουστάρω is the verb, the noun would be Γούστο and the plural would be Γούστα (gusta) [ = the things I like/love]

I feel like Greek sounds are pretty close to Spanish sounds. Spanish beginners coming from Greek language have a superb accent without even trying, and I didn't struggle either copying his accent in this video
Mostly because latin language was based in a way in greek language and spanish pronunciation is similar to greek's .Both of them have no accent but different alphabet but somehow spanish comes from two ancient languages ,latin and greek!!!

Spanish language main influences are Latin and Arab, but its sound is way closer to the Greek's sound. I find that interesting.
@@thatpianistmoth Spanish language has more similarities to Greek than most people know, because the majority of south Spain (just like France) had Greek colonies during the ancient times (before the arrival of the Roman Empire). Most of modern Spanish it's Latin of course but many words have Greek roots. It's difficult to find them because the vast majority of Latin words had Greek origin (for example the word "heart", in modern Spanish: "corazón", in Latin: "cor", in Greek: "κέαρ"(cear).

"Me lene" sounds like spanish "Me llamo". It also means "call me". Spanish and Greek are very similar in terms of pronunciation at least. But now I see that there are more similarities than I thought :D

Great video! The meaning of 'Eimai Karagiozis' is actually closer to 'I'm a bumbling idiot', rather than 'I'm stupid'. Andreas' accent when he speaks English is really impressive! I wouldn't have guessed he's from Greece, I can only hear a hint of Greek in his accent. I'm Greek-Canadian, so he sounds like we do. Kudos to Jooyeon, she did really well!

@@MR_1.2002 Yes, he definitely does look Greek! But since he's originally from Greece and not born and raised in North America, I assumed that he'd have a thick Greek accent. His is not easily detectable.
