      No one did CPR nor brought defib because no one knows he got heart attack, because, as clearly shown, he’s still moving and/or still had some conscious. If you got an emergency medical training, you’re specifically told to NOT do CPR on someone with a beating pulse.
      The title of the video gave a false impression that everyone knew he got heart attack in that moment at the court.

It also involves assessing for a patent airway and normal breathing, but the paramedics did none of those assessments. In all out-of-hospital cases, an AED assessment is needed to rule out an abnormal cardiac rhythm, not just a VF or pulseless VT. The criteria of starting CPR is "abnormal breathing", not "presence of movement". When in doubt, one cycle of chest compressions can be done on a beating heart with minimal complications and can be done on the spot, not just in the ambulance. Please read up on the latest ALS guidelines.

      @roxdbox Před 2 dny +17

      @@wonghongweng It’s literally called cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Reviving one’s blood circulation. I think you’re mistaking it with mouth to mouth resuscitation or artificial respiration (reviving or helping one’s breath). In that case, you can see the medics already trying to help his breath by helping/holding his head, and just right at the end of the video you see another medic brings out a stretcher to lay him on his back.
      Again, on the video, it’s clear he is still moving and probably still conscious. This video is a bit disingenuous because it gives the impression that the cardiac arrest happened on the court (which is clearly not since we can see he’s still moving). He maybe went into arrest while on the ambulance or at the hospital, but definitely not at that court (or at least in that moment on that video). You just don’t call “heart attack!” to every person you see trip or fell over.

    The "PERMISSION" excuse is just to cover up the fact that they were not prepared for an emergency.
    Highly incompetent response from emergency "team". Only quick when giving excuses, explanations and platitudes. I saw that they were not fast or decisive or confident in rendering help. These are typical conditions where people are hired for some reason and they wear the uniform and carry equipment to complete the look, at the same time trusting that nothing will happen on their shift. No matter the reason of cardiac arrest, even if his heart failed permanently we have artifical devices to circulate blood temporarily while awaiting transplant. The most likely cause of death is hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy secondary to cardiac arrest, in this case the MOST COMMON cause is HOCM/HCM.

They are unnecessarily strict and umpires are like gods as if they cant make a wrong decision, and yet they are always said to be right. The medics who came did not know what to do. Action should be taken against all officials conducting the match. they were more bothered about maintaining pin drop silence and "discipline" on the court rather than starting the CPR. He's a professional athlete, his heart is most likely stronger than ours. I'm not educated in terms of medicine, but i think a screening wont help much
      More importantly is to find out what caused the failure of first-aiders to act and the lack of cpr+aed, and how to fix those problems

      I'm Indonesian and I agree. I doubt they are even professionally trained, they don't even know what to do, they don't do CPR immidiately, and they don't have AED. I just hope BWF can ban Indonesia from organizing internayional competition for sometime, until they can fix its paramedics problem, it's for our country own reputation.

      His coach didn't check how he was doing before the game. if he had a history of illness from the start he should not have played against Japan. it was purely the coach's fault selecting him as the main match of the tournament. This has nothing to do with medicine in Indonesia, in fact it all complies with the SOP rules in badminton tournaments.

If this is sop there is something wrong with either the sop or the referee. How did u know he has a underlying condition? You are delusional enough to ignore video evidence and start finding excuse for the poor emergency response of this venue. Literal joke. How would u feel if ur family member is the one having heart attack and everyone else is blaming him/her for underlying heart issue.
