We already got some in the Reverie arc. Sabo and the revolutionary captains talk about how Kuma was the king of a country (Jewelry Bonnie's home country) and he did something to oppose the World Government. As punishment he lost his crown and was used as a test subject.

Trying to use this fruit to heal is a bad idea. Kuma said himself that he repelled Luffy's pain, but the damage still remained. If you broke your leg and then pushed away the pain, you'd still have a broken leg.

I like how the power of this fruit is basically "movement"/deflection/repelling. And it's also how Kuma gets around so fast. It's a shame what Kuma has been reduced to.
i hope that at some point his memory is brought back by maybe vegapunk and we get to see him come back to his old badass self

Maybe the way in which Kuma is using the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi is already it's awakened power and that is why it seem so ridiculously powerful.
I personally like to think he's just really creative in his use of it. Like, he's up there with Luffy in terms of clever power usage.

@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince He most definitely is creative. However, maybe the awakening of a Devil Fruit is nothing but the creative usage of the Fruit itself and by this getting its most potential out of it. I mean at the end of the day, we never really learned what it means for a DF to be awakened.
MonkeyD.Brook i mean we do as Doflamingo was able to make his surroundings into strings he said that an awakening grants the user to use their surroundings as an extension of their ability. Imagine the paw paw being able to use it’s ability without contact.

I bet Kuma has some really good navigation skills to memorize a ton of islands, know their direction and launch someone to there while considering wind, weather, etc. Really love this fruit and it belongs to a great character!

Personnaly I can't imagine that Kuma did not already awakened his fruit, that explains easily why he can also repel abstract things like pain or air, plus he's a former commander of the revolutionnary army and one of the government's most powerfull weapon so it would be ridiculous if he didn't awakened his DF

Please correct me if I am wrong but I thought it said Kuma repelled all of the DAMAGE inside Luffy, not just the sensation of pain. That was why Zoro's life was in danger, he wasn't just feeling Luffy's anguish but also taking on his actual injuries.

This fruit is just absurdly strong. I mean, Kuma could just defeat every Opponent. Kaido? No Problem, just send him Into the calm belt. I mean, i don't think you can really do anything against it.
Well, avoid the paws is a counter. Not an easy counter, but some weird movement tricks, inhuman speed, excellent stealth, and simply multiple attacks from different angles can get around it at least some of the time. Probably can't repel things the user isn't aware of either, so effects that nerf your senses, knock you out, or just attacking while he's sleeping all work.

This fruit reminds me of the stand from Jojo The Hand because The Hand can erase anything and Nikyu Nikyu No Mi can repel anything and if Kuma repels some to a faraway place it looks like they gotten erased by Kuma. The user of The Hand Nijimura Okuyasu can also erase the air and can bring him or his opponent closer to him like Kuma repelling himself.

Nice examination of Kuma's fruit. Next week, we start with the AVALANCHE of fruits introduced in the short, but densely packed with content, Sabaody Archipelago arc. And it looks like we are starting off with Law's fruit, the Ope Ope no Mi; no lie, when the fruit came up on screen at the end, I was framing it with my hands in a heart shape. Seriously, this is a fan favorite because of how badass and damaged Law's character really is.

For me Kuma’s nikyu nikyu no mi is so well balanced, abling to repel anything including himself. That is the reason why kuma moves so fast.
Hey. Just wanna ask a "What If" scenario.
What if Kuma fought Blackbeard, more specifically Nikyu-Nikyu no mi vs Yami-Yami no mi. So does Kuma repell absorption or Blackbeard absord repell. Unless Blackbeard can also Nullify the repell ability that the Paw Paw fruit has, or Kuma's devil fruit can actually counter the absorption ability or maybe even the nullify ability of the Yami-Yami no mi. Or maybe the awakening of the Paw Paw fruit is an enhanced version of repell that can actually repell an ability or just a Devil fruit itself and be encased on a Floating paw making the ability or the DF available for the taking without eating the fruit itself, like maybe what the Yami-Yami no mi does.

My friends and other colleagues seem to misunderstand a moment at the Sabody Archipelago with Basil Hawkins' Devil Fruit. They say the kick and then the subsequent crashing into a building was what killed those two men with his Devil Fruit when I believe the second straw figure only burned up after Kizaru shot a laser into the building. What are your thoughts on that when we get to that Devil Fruit?
I have to wonder if it's naturally this powerful or if it's Kuma that makes it so powerful. Repelling abstract concepts seems like a stretch for something that essentially just gives paw pads to the user. In fact, maybe Kuma already awakened it. It would make more sense for the base form of the fruit to prevent physical damage with awakening enhancing that to the ability to repel anything.

i wouldn't mind having this fruit especially with being able to repel concepts like pain(be interesting if it's use in the pw/burning blood was able to be used in canon.) or send myself/others to people.(kinda feels like a more portable version of the world and makes me wonder if when he was a tyrant if he for sadistic lulz randomly send people to dangerous areas for on a whim.)

I do have to wonder if it's already awakened and that's the reason why Kuma can repel seemingly anything. After all I feel like it would make sense if the base level abilities of the fruit were just to repel physical objects, and at much slower speeds, or at least only up to equal speeds to how fast it hit their paws. Then the awakening abilities are that it expands this repelling power to things like energy and other non-solid objects, lets you repel things faster than when they struck you, and even eventually lets you repel abstract concepts.
Hi, can you review a non-canon fruit? It is the Net-Net fruit from anime episode 428 something. It is kinda similar to Hina's Cage-Cage fruit but more than just steel.

Run away by teleport or teleport them away. Easy. You can deflect attacks. You can attack long range or short. You can make a bomb wipe out everyone. You can be a good support. Heal your friends take your friends damage and give it to enemies. Crazy op

Most likely it can but a few certain fruit can maybe bypass the repelling. Ex:Zuma(plasma fruit, non canon), Zushi(gravity, fujitora),...
I think it already is awakened. That's why he can push intangible things like pain. Maybe the basic use is only physical things

Probably because Kuma uses it in much the same way Luffy uses the Gum-Gum fruit: Both powers are kind of silly & impractical on paper, but with some creativity & training they've both become terrifyingly powerful opponents.
I mean this fruit is potentially as/more useful than the Ope Ope No Mi if it can repel and dispel things like pain, injuries, fatigue, traumatic memories? memories in general? Craziness!!

I find it a little bit ridiculous they finished a battle filled with the logic and theme of not feeling pain does not mean strength and healing. Chopper stated the zombies still had weakness and damage to their bodies despite not feeling pain.

Liam you need to bring back the devil fruit encyclopedia because we have learned so much more about a lot of them. For instance this fruit isn't just repelling and you did predict it but it is turning intangible things into tangible things. So yes as an answer to your earlier question this fruit does indeed have the ability to push depression out of a person.

The one thing I feel like people forget regarding this fruit is that in the hands of a normal size person, the Ursa’s shock would be worthless, it’s partially because of Kuma’s ludicrous wingspan he can make it so destructive. Not only that, but unless your reflexes or observation haki are *on point* you won’t likely be deflecting Jack shit, so the only real value this fruit offers is instant movement, and even then, it’s heavily implied that would still be nearly impossible for a normal person as it requires insane spacial awareness to not repel yourself to the wrong spot. Like, the Nikyu-Nikyu no Mi is actually only as strong as it is *because the wielder was already ludicrously strong.* I think, in the (literal) hands of someone more average, it would be awful. More so than almost any other Devil Fruit, this fruit feels like a straight power *multiplier.* If you’re already strong; you become ludicrously strong; but if you’re weak? 2x0 is still zero.
