I made a luminary from white lightweight cardstock with a pin hole star outline punched on the side. I put a color changing tea light inside. They loved it!

Julie -- I watched your excellent tutorial rather late last night, made lots of notes and decided that I needed to make one right away (even though it was midnight!). Since your instructions were so very clear, I had no trouble at all. When it all came together I was so proud of myself I decided to make two more (which went much quicker than the first one). Finally turned out the lights at 3:00, then up at 7:15. They're each now filled with wrapped candy, and I'm so excited to give them to my 3 sisters on Christmas evening. Thanks so much.

I made this today with blue cardstock and holographic paper and I must say when I saw it the first time I thought it's really difficult so won't be able to make it but the way you have taught us in this video I was really happy to see it all come together perfectly...

Thanks again for a great and easy project. I made a mistake turning the paper the wrong direction at first, but I recovered quickly. It went together so easily. Amazing! I'm thinking of making these for Christmas party favors. Maybe put a little Luminara candle in each box and put them on a tray by the door for guests. I will just need to use cardstock with a Christmas design on each side. That will eliminate the need for all of the other embellishments, except for the circle on the front. Thinking of a little "ornament" design with Merry Christmas in the center. Maybe a little charm or jewel. ANYWAY, this was a wonderful project and you are ALWAYS so clear with your directions. Every one of the projects I have tried from your CZcams videos has been successful because of your descriptions and explanations of why and how. Thanks, Julie! Linda

I love this box, I tried making it a few times. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. My box will not close on the top like yours, it leaves a bigger opening. I am wondering if I am cutting on the diagonal wrong.

I made one of these years ago. It was larger (I used a large sheet of tag board.) Ohhhhh! How I struggled. You have made it so easy with this excellent tutorial. I would urge everyone to try it! Hi Julie. Thank you so much for this demo. I have managed to follow along your excellent tutorial and made the box. the only problem I had was it doesn't want to sit truly square but I found a little cheat. Rearrange the top mat and layers and all is well. SHHH don't tell anyone. He he he. I am now going to try others. Hugs and loves. Wendy
