I was thinking it would be hard to share the lead when you're used to doing the whole thing. Someone had asked once how they remember all the lyrics and Chance said something to the effect that he gets in the zone and you don't really think about the lyrics so much. I'm guessing he had to get out of the zone and do some thinking with this!
