    Hey,
Thanks for the video. This really helped in making my decision for not buying this beautiful machine because of my riding interest and styles
I am someone who like to cruise around 120-130 in highway long rides.
Which bikes do you suggest where I can expect mileage around 28-32 in that speeds?
    I have v-strom 250, speed 400 and KTM Adv 250 in my mind😊

    • @StallionRides
      @StallionRides  Před 9 měsíci

Hello, Abhijith. Thank you for your time.
At the speeds you mentioned, none of the motorcycles you mentioned will return a mileage of 28-32 kmpl. Still your best bet would be the Suzuki V-Strom 250.
      Consider this - Fuel Consumption for V-Strom 250 : 39 kilometres per litre (92 mpg‑US; 110 mpg‑imp) at 60 km/h

    • @StallionRides

@@StallionRides Maybe True. But I believe speed 400 would give me somewhere around 25 with that speed but with Honda, it would be around 20-22 with 120. Because recently I had taken a rented Highness for a long tour (1400kms total), out of which >60% was a very good highway (NH 44) and I was riding continuously around 105-110 ( could not cross 110 because of speed limit of the rental agreement). In total trip, I got an average around 26 while my Friend's Dominar 400 gave 28. May be I should lower my expectation from 28 to 25.

Very useful video, this gives a much better understanding of this bike regarding fuel economy than the 1 litre tests. I have a Honda unicorn 160 from 8 years and last year I did a 1200km Bangalore Goa and return trip with max speed of 95 at times but mostly 70 to 90, got a mileage of 50kmpl. 12 litre tank and did 2 tank fills only, HP power petrol. Now if I upgrade to this bike, which I'm seriously thinking of, then I thought I would be able to do slightly higher speeds and get 40kmpl but looks like I won't. My bike weighs only 134kg, 2015 160 unicorn. This bike is 45kg heavier. That's the whole deal. The lack of fatigue due to the bigger wheels will perhaps get compensated by handling a much heavier bike. So overall, suddenly it's not making much sense to me sadly. Maybe RS drinks more petrol than highness because of the fatter rear tyre, more friction?!. That would be an interesting comparison to look out for I guess.
Nice videos, nice voice, lovely camera and views 😎

Himalayan's mileage will be less than CB350 RS, any day.
Baba, this motorcycle offers good mileage, it's just that in most motorcycles I have ridden, the mileage goes significantly down if you are riding at higher speeds and give abrupt throttle responses.
If mileage is also a concern during long rides, go with the Avenger 220 cruise, it is such an underrated machine (worst for off-roading okay, for good roads, it's awesome)

So in 2018, I took the Himalayan on a ride to Kanatal, Uttarakhand. I absolutely love the seating position and the looks, truly. But, every single day I experienced 1 or the other issue with the motorcycle, sometimes break fail, sometimes an engine oil leak, sometimes a fuel pump error.. and later a puncture that no mechanic would want to fix- it is difficult to put the tires back in the Himalayan due to the disc design so a very few mechanics will actually touch it. @StallionRides  Před 7 měsíci

      Hello there.
Yes, please. Dominar 400 is an extremely capable motorcycle. Dominar will be faster but the Highness will be comfortable. Dominar will return less mileage than the Highness. The tank range of Dominar is less than the Highness. Honda’s reliability will be a big plus over long journeys.
Dominar does not offer 19 inch front wheel that glides over potholes. The breaks of the Highness are also superior than the Dominar.
Highness will be a better option with a pillion too.
If Speed is one of your concerns, go with the Dominar. The Highness in my opinion is better than the Dominar in every other aspect.
