I love this interview! The bit about the cassettes...that's the first time I've heard kids think cassettes are COOL! Loving it though! ( now they'll know the true beauty of a pencil or a pen, i hope:) The part where he's talking about his son's music choices - that sounds so familiar...as a musician myself AND a mom to my 18 yr old daughter i can totally relate. Actually it's pretty traumatic at times, since both my girl and I are very passionate on the subject- so it's a constant reminder for me that just coz I gave birth to her doesn't necessarily mean we get touched by the same sound, lyric or genre. I suppose it makes me a tiny bit better to know that no matter how successful a musician is, when they become a parent- it's the same old story...;) Anyway, thanks for posting this. Could listen to this guy talk - and sing- all day.
