How to season granite pestle & mortar:
Step 1: Wash it under water without using any detergent and let it dry completely
Step 2: Once it’s dry, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and grind properly. Once done, empty it
Step 3: Now add 2 tablespoons of rice and grind it.
Step 4: Once done, add some water to it. Grind it again and make a paste
Step 5: Wash it under water and leave it to dry completely
Step 6: Once dry, add 5 cloves of garlic and crush them
Step 7: Now and 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds & 1 teaspoon of black pepper seeds
Step 8: Crush and grind to make a paste. Use all the sides
Step 9: Wash and let it dry. Done!

Hi Ila, just an observation, the milk pan that you explained as your last tip is useful for induction stoves as the flat base is for induction specific usage and not for a gas stove top!

This was really helpful. You could do a complete series like this comparing products in our day to day life. Your experience or learnings will be useful for others, in fact for first time buyers. Hey! Very helpful video. I find your tips very useful. I would just like to request you to avoid using plastic tea strainer. They are not made of food grade plastic. And if we strain boiling tea from such a low quality plastic it sure might cause harm over the years. So try and use double layered stainless steel strainer instead. They are super easy to maintain and also not harmful.

Very helpful video. For chakla, the one I use is a flat bottom one without any anti skid mat but it does not sleep at all because it is very thick and heavy.

Hi Saranya ji... Maine bhi yahi soch kar Amazon se silicon mat liya tha but apne experience se bta rahi hoon ki isme sookha aata jyada lagta hai abhi roti baad mein kadi hone lagti hai
Instead of chakla I would recommend silicone nonstick fondant rolling mat. It's much much better than chakla. It's larger, light weight, easy to carry, foldable, occupies less space when stored. Please go for it.
