    Agree with Dana. The UFC is a business but they are the number 1 promotion in MMA for a reason. Their safety and medical checks and their facilities are by far the best in the business. They talk about fighter pay, everyone wants more money no matter the industry. The fact is the UFC employs 600+ fighters and maybe 50 of those fighters across all weight divisions are in that elite earning bracket. Considering some of the guys ranked in the top 10 of each division earn $300-500k+ per year for showing up and fighting 2-3 times per year (which is what counts, as the UFC won't pay you unless you fight) and pay for your medical bills is insane. The UFC doesn't stop you from making money any other way whether that's business ventures, opening up your own store or product or even getting a normal job when you aren't fighting. The UFC only stops you from fighting in other promotions due to the contract that you signed. In my opinion there is no pay dispute and it should be end of discussion because everyone wants more money and if you aren't happy with the pay check maybe you shouldn't be in the business or you should find another avenue to make money. Thats what no one says is that these fighters are free to make money however they like when they aren't fighting.

      @gimpyrules6714 Před 2 lety +1

      Yea everyone complains about pay, should they make more, probably, but even the low if guys make way more than the like lower 70% of boxers, it's annoying how people always bring that up, yeah the top .5% are making a couple a mil a fight and goes down alot below that loo

    • @rohananand7101
      @rohananand7101 Před 2 lety +1

      True. People talk about the 16% but the UFC has to spend a similar amount of money on production, medicals etc. as other sports but they don’t make as much as NBA, NFL, etc.

      Especially the ones making good money already while they were trying to pay the other employees and keep everything going
      People don't realise that it's more than ticket sales, they also get a cut of the concessions as well
      That's why the NBA and MLB and NFL couldn't do shit for awhile, the concessions are a bigger part because they get bigger crowds

    • @gogogogic6916
      @gogogogic6916 Před 2 lety +5

      You are wrong...., UFC wont be what today is if fighters like Jones, Conor, Khabib exist, especially Conor, why Conor go on exibition with Floyd because UFC pays him shit in the past and yet they become 4 bilion company because him...., if there were no fighters there is no UFC, problem is that fighters are stupid and don't stand for each other like guys for example in NBA..., there are players in NBA that have more money than entire (exept Conor) UFC roster and they are bums(I mean that in way that few people know who they are) while guys like Usman, Francis are familiar much more to generaly public and yet thay get paid 5% of what UFC earns on them, I would agree that low ranking fighters should not complain, but champions in UFC must be paid more.
