FREE BIRD!!! That pushed all the right buttons for me. That was awesome.
From about 0:50-1:10 is flipping smooth. The timing of pauses with the music is great and the flow between triangles is amazing. Evan was definitely on and shows nothing but progression in an already incredibly solid and entertaining career. Hat is off.

One of the things that make Evan so good is that he doesn't use the same routine. Think about that, there are many players that make a routine and use it for a year because it scores well.

This was such an amazing freestyle. Where to begin? The intro of basic mounts done behind the back; the creative side & front slack combos; creative catch & bind tricks; fricking horizontal GT (?!); all those GT laceration variations; and the fidget spinner trick was just stupid nice!!!!!

It's called showmanship. Yoyo artists are just that, Artists. that is why they get judge by panels. And Evan is such an endearing performer.

is the string for these extreme trick yo-yo's thicker than a normal string to hold up to it? or is it just an illusion because of the color? can't tell.
As a professional Yo-Yo player and a friend of Evan's I can tell you it's the color.
Most Competitive Yo-Yo players have moved onto slightly thicker strings(fat) but Evan has stayed with the Normal thickness but uses strings a lot longer than most people giving his style a very unique feel.

it's like cheering in sport (eg. soccer everytime it's goal). it's quite like that, though in competitive yoyoing you'll probably will heard it like every second if the competitor is that good.

Competitive Yoyo to me is like competitive dog dancing. Yes it's a thing - Yes it requires lots of practice - Yes you've got skill and yes you have some sick movies but... sheesh..
