Nice model with a ton of accessories. One comment on construction - the .50 called is mounted backwards on the pintle. As installed it could not be elevated for AA purposes.

I have just bought the 1/16 Sherman and am extremely impressed with all of the features including smoke, selectable sound and recoil when the tank fires. The accessories for stowage blow me away. Smaller scale model kits do not come with this much customisation. I also the the Heng Long Tiger One series 6, and the two are beautiful scale models. I have a large collection if 1/35 and 1/76 scale armour, and these take pride of place,

i have this tank, i have had it for just over a year, incredible piece of equipment, one thing to not is, if you lose power suddenly but the battery is fully charged you might have kinked a wire in the battery slot, so what youll have to to is leave some space for wires and screw it shut very loosely, great video as always!

It did better against Tiger Is than the 75mm variants before it, though. That big ol' HE shell, if the gunner aimed right, was pretty damn good at busting holes in Tiger roofs and setting them on fire. also pretty good at disabling them via blasting the tracks off.

I also recently got a Sherman and have installed one chain link on each side and it drives a little better and more realistically than before, although you have to keep in mind that the chains on almost every RC model are much too tight and this causes them to relax can be like the Panther or Jagpanther, the sagging of the chains alone looks more realistic than with a tensioned chain! @satyrangel2730 Před rokem

The United States Army Ordnance Department designed the M4 medium tank as a replacement for the M3 medium tank. The M3 was an up-gunned development of the M2 Medium Tank of 1939, derived from the M2 light tank of 1935. The M3 was developed as a stopgap measure until a new turret mounting a 75 mm gun could be devised. While it was a big improvement when used by the British in Africa against German forces, the placement of a 37 mm gun turret on top gave it a very high profile, and the unusual side-sponson mounted the main gun, with limited traverse, could not be aimed across the other side of the tank. Though reluctant to adopt British weapons into their arsenal, the American designers were prepared to accept proven British ideas. These ideas, as embodied in a tank designed by the Canadian General Staff, also influenced the development of the American Sherman tank. Before long American military agencies and designers had accumulated sufficient experience to forge ahead on several points. In the field of tank armament, the American 75 mm and 76 mm dual-purpose tank guns won the acknowledgment of British tank experts.[16] Detailed design characteristics for the M4 were submitted by the Ordnance Department on 31 August 1940. Still, the development of a prototype was delayed while the final production designs of the M3 were finished and the M3 entered full-scale production. On 18 April 1941, the U.S. Armored Force Board chose the simplest five designs. Known as the T6, the design was a modified M3 hull and chassis, carrying a newly designed turret mounting the M3's 75 mm gun. This would later become the Sherman

I think Tamiya makes a Kit, quite complex but nice for the M551.

Hopefully this isn't too late lol. Get the metal tracks, they will last longer and break less frequently. I heard they have less grip, but it's still worth it. The plastic ones are just not as durable

    • @MotionRC
      @MotionRC  Před 2 měsíci +1

There is a smoke button on the transmitter that turns the smoke unit inside on and off. It also comes with a bottle of smoke oil to refill when the smoke runs out.

@@karlascott3569 Always refer to the manual, but the smoke oil always enters from the exhaust location. The smoke oil comes in a dropper, so just refill by adding a few drops down the hole where the smoke comes out.

There are 2 buttons on the transmitter that you press to fire and if loaded with 6mm airsoft bb's, it will fire them. Or if you attach the IR receiver and have a second tank, they will fire at each other and record hits etc.
