Got mine in late '22. Still loving it...fast, comfortable. Quiet and smooth when you want in Comfort. And a beast in Sport+ A true sleeper.
I have one and I am amazed every time I drive it. Hard to imagine a more powerful car on city streets for daily use.
It's a pleasure to watch some who clearly knows his stuff.
Thanks so much, we appreciate that positive feedback!
Not the most charismatic review, but I love how good he knows his stuff. Really professional, thumbs up ! 👍🏻
Really glad you enjoyed the video, thank you for your positive feedback!
Greatest car ever made in the last 10 years at least.
High praise 👏
thnx for the review.... I ordered one in skyscraper gray that is currently in transit, impatiently waiting!!
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed! That's awesome, congrats! Great color on these cars.
NICE!!!
Thanks!
Good video. I have a 2022 version and love it. The high torque makes this so much fun.
Absolutely, it does!
same here dude. the car is super comfortable, but also can be a monster. Perfect car.
Well done report!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
My dream car, too bad that’s all it will ever be is my dream car because I can’t afford it. 😔
After 4-5 years it’ll be more affordable. Just get an extended warranty on it
Keep your head up brother. If it’s meant to be you will have one some day…
Why do you doubt yourself you need to change your mindset You can have whatever you want in this world. You just may have to work a little more for it. Be a little more assertive change some things in your lifestyle but you can have it. I don’t like it when people say can’t stop using that word change your mindset. Everything is attainable. Have a great day Merry Christmas.
Other than being made by the "M Division". What's the difference between the N63 and the S68 in the new X7 M60???
I heard you talk about it with the X7 M60
Good question! Tons of differences between the N63 and the S68 which will replace it, as it did in the X7 M60i as well as 760i. First, as you said, it was developed and is built fully by BMW's M division. Other difference include a revised crankshaft design, reworked oil cooling system, oil sump, updated turbos, and importantly, an all new electric VANOS system. It also uses a 48V mild-hybrid system, which is a new addition. That's a very abbreviated summary of the differences between the S68 and N63. Overall, the two are completely different engines. The S68 shares no parts with the S63, which it also replaces.
I read that the M5 base is not as harsh or firm of a ride as the M5 competition. Any difference in the performance or ride quality between this M550i and both an M5 base or an M5 competition? Thank you.
That's correct, a non-competition M5 will be slightly more comfortable, from a ride quality perspective, than a Competition package car.
Lots of differences between this M550i and an M5! The M5 has upgraded brakes, suspension, and a totally different drivetrain. Much more power, and overall, it's a much more serious performance car. However, the M550i will ride quite a bit more comfortably than an M5.
I would appreciate some information on maintenance. My biggest concern over time is the maintenance costs associated with BMW. I keep my cars a long time.
BMWs do require maintenance, like any car, but not in a way that is significantly more burdensome than any competitive luxury/performance manufacturers. Follow the schedule for fluid changes, and you'll get many happy miles our of your car. Also, maintenance is covered with UltimeCare for 3 years anyway, for added piece of mind :)
Does the M550i still come with conventional tires instead of the dreaded run flats? Is a spare provided?
No spare, they came with run-flats.
@@bmwofmorristown9038 Deal breaker.
if the red calipers are painted in red, what's the best way to clean them? Thanks!
Well, the BEST way to clean them is to take the wheels off and give them a good spray down with water, and hand wash them with water, car soap and a soft towel or mitt. A more practical way however, which also works well, is to leave the wheels on and spray them with water, then hand wash them through the spokes with a soapy towel/mitt.
Bleach and a sand blaster.
Wtf am I the onely one this guy is the look a like boyfriends food inspector from Phoebe from Friends? Great car btw.
Lol... first I've heard that one. It is a great car though!
😊
What’s full colors name?
Skyscraper Grey. We always put spec and color info in the description.
That’s how the exhaust sounds stick??? 🤤😍
Yep!
Sales is wearkxxxxxx
Man, they came close in this one, but something was off. I looked and I looked and then thought some more....and then it hit me. That Darth Vader thing in the center of the air vents. Why BMW? Oh! why? You came so close, so close. And then you turned it into kitch in one unthoughtful design moment.
Luckily for you, that piece can easily be avoided by not optioning the Driver Assistance Professional package! It's the radar sensor for the acive cruise control, and won't be there if you don't option that package.
why does the 2023 model have the old infotainment system still?
ID8 hasn't hit the 5er yet because it hasn't been redesigned or LCI'd since ID8 came out. When the new generation 5 series comes out for 2024, it will have iDrive 8.
