Cold water immersion therapy science and dangers explained by a Physiotherapist.
my sister is a nurse she started swimming in Scotland lochs this year she said she has never felt so good she has a cold shower every day has stopped drinking alcohol she said she hasnt had backache since and also said its helping with anxiety and sleep
when my anxiety is out of control, i’ve taken as cold as my faucet allows, bath.
I started cold immersion few weeks ago, going good
Interesting subject on the affects of cold treatments. I have just done a short essay regarding cryotherapy, where liquid nitrogen is used to cool the body. Great tips on cold treatment on this video. Thanks for that.
Just been for a swim today in lake, outside temp 0c in uk, been doing this for about 1 year , apply wim hoff breathing techniques, my advice is apply some common sense when swimming and exposure times in the water and factor in changing times
It's really good. It works out the parts of the body that you can't work out with muscles.
Hi. I do cold bath on my swimming pool in the winter. The water is at 12 ⁰C and I can barely stay 30 sec in the water after that the pain is getting worse and worse. I start to feel my bones and a choke on my neck. I go in and out 3 times and then I take a cold shower after and I feel very comfortable. What I feel when the temperature is low like this is that the water is lethal so when I start to feel the pain I get out and wait a minute or two and go again. When I go in I go slowly to avoid any accidents.
thank you for this important video

VERY GOOD VIDEO TO AVOID HYPOTHERMIA OR AFTERDROP. Go slow, safety first.
Thank you for this video
Hi - great video, a brilliant starting point for me to use as I'm working on an essay about hot and cold water immersion treatment therapies. I don't suppose you could provide some references for the points you made? Certainly got a lot of research ahead of me :) Thank you!
I fell into 0 degree Celsius ocean water for approximately 15 minutes before I was rescued and brought back to shore. I was wearing winter clothes, jacket, boots but did have on survival gear. I am experiencing extreme pain in my legs, stomach, arms and hands. My legs in particular are much weaker than before the fall and are now covered in varicose veins. My fingers are numb. My spine hurts. Is it possible to have nerve damage from this awful experience? It happened about a month ago. How long before these symptoms go away or are permanent?
Thanks for the video. I’m starting my 30
I'm interested in learning about interferential therapy for knee pain
So I tried an ice bath and when I got out after just a minute it felt like my hands and feet were going to explode....
lol you can't suck in water when you enter up to your shoulders. also therapeutic submersion temps start at 58 degrees.
