- This video have details of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Sportz Stock Tyre Upgraded from 165/70/R14 to 185/65/R14 to improve ride and handling for highway rides
Grand i10 Nios Sportz stock tyres are good enough for city ride & provide adequate handling with good mileage.
The ideal maximum upsize which can be done without upsetting the car’s dynamics is around 3% of the original total tyre diameter. It is best to upgrade within 3% margin for better performance and handling with increased grip.
We have got stock tyres 165/70/R14 value of Rs. 2400 per tyre with just 500km on odometer. So lesser run tyre gives more value in exchange with new tyre upgrade.
We have bought Bridgestone B290 185/65/R14 which cost additional Rs. 2000 per tyre in exchange of stock tyre.
Bridgestone gives you unconditional warranty in which replacement will be offered for non manufacturing defects on pro-rata basis within a period of 3 years from the date of purchase or upto 60% tread wear, whichever is earlier.
Please get tyre purchase registered at Bridgestone website for warranty purposes.

I recently upsized tyres of my nios sportz to the 185/65 R14 and car driving becomes amazing. Road grip improved and noise reduced substantially. Further car becomes little smoother. Actually company has given thinner tyres as compared to other cars in same segment(may be for cost cutting). I recommend every NIOS owner(except Asta varient) to upsize their tyres to above size. Performance will be improved.
They have given thinner tyres for cost cutting as well for better mileage. Otherwise the 185/65/R14 is best tyre upsize for Nios

My doubt is that in sportz varient do you have to change the stock alloys for tre upgrade as breadth of tyre is more
I recently upsized with continental uc6 185/65/R14 for Nios sports variant Lot of changes in driving, feeling safe on roads. No alignment issue. No mileage issue noted. Ride quality improved a lot

You can upgrade same tyre if your stock rim or alloys are 14 inches, this will increase overall handling & stability

Deviation is 4.56% which is not recommended at all, from 165/65 14’ to 185/65 14’. Please run the numbers it’s not 2%.

I was using earlier 2014 xcent in which I have upgraded tyre to 185/65/14 Yokohama Earth1 it gives good grip with lesser road noise.
For increasing ground clearance you can use 15 inch wheels.

Alloy wheels is stock 14inch which you get with Sportz model, only tyres have changed

You can go with tyre size upgrade of 185/65/R14 for your xcent. You will see dip in mileage by 1-1.5 kmpl after tyre upgrade depending on your driving style

Simply you can get tyre size calculator from web or app store and enter the existing tyre & new upgrade size tyre. If difference between both tyres come in range if 2-3% then only it recommended to provided with this size. Upsizing tyre has increased road grip and car stability

You can install 16 inches alloy wheels but you have to use low profile tyre which are costly and have less tyre life
Grand i10 old stock size h 165/65/R14, usme konsa upsize sahi rahega
185/60/R14 will be give you improved ride & handling but mileage will drop by 1.5-2kmpl

You can upgrade but it is not recommended as it can affect driving dynamics and reduce life of suspension.

I have made one video after this which have detailed new tyre look you can check out on tye channel itself. We have not faced any issue after installation of new tyres and have clocked more than 5000kms
