May Freyr give you his strength as he is the god of hard work, not to be confused with freyja his sister goddess of life love and death , keep the videos coming very interesting watch lots of info .
If possible could you keep us informed on the safe wash. I’m going to look into that especially if it is fairly as good as bio side.
Yeh will do mate. It will be interesting to see. It's more expensive in long run as its only sold in 1ltr bottles, but could save a lot of hassle
@@HelmOfAwesomeWindows how much do you clean a square meter for my friend
@@ismet333 hi mate. I tend to price per side. So anything between £300-£500 depending on the size, access ect
What did you think of the safe wash In the end? And how do you price a job like this? By the Meter ? Thanks
It worked really well but took a lot longer than usual bio.
Pricing is difficult, depends on the area, what equipment you need like scaffold towers etc, how much moss is on the roof
I try and price per side for example £300-£400 per side. Then if there are say 3 sides, I might reduce the overall total slightly 👍
hey mate loved your video. Do you power wash also? I've been looking at doing roofs still little unsure
I don't on roofs mate no. Not been brave enough incase I cock anything up 🤣
Scraping is hard work but financially it's definitely worth it 👌
nice work fella. I use to pressure wash roofs, but the mess it made wasn't worth it. Spent more time cleaning up then doing the roof, so now I scrap and apply bio. Can I ask, when they have panels up on the roof, are you just going around them best you can then apply chemicals behind it? I have one I've just looked at and it seems quite bad under the panels. I know no one will see it, but wasn't sure what to do. Thanks
Yeh panels are a but of a pain. I've only had a couple an thankfully they didn't have much underneath. So I scraped around, then sprayed loads of bio at top to run down underneath. Not ideal, but seems to have worked so far
thanks @@HelmOfAwesomeWindows think I'll just do the same. I'll warn them prior, they haven't been up long so have no idea why he didn't do it before hand!
@@tommystrong customers do the strangest things mate haha

Does that scraper not damage the finish of the tile?
Normally when we scrape, the tile has a big build up of organic growth on it,. There isnt enough pressure from the scraper to damage it. Roof tiles are surprisingly hard wearing and we haven't damaged the finish of any tiles yet 😀
How quick did you get the Marshall scraper heads I've heard they can take a while
I got mine in a few days but I think because he makes them individually it can take a while..
Message him on Facebook and ask him how long wait time is, he's usually bit quicker then.
Good luck. Its physical and first few are a killer, but it's great once in flow and its a good earner
@@HelmOfAwesomeWindows Thanks for your info have you done many I liked your honest answer to how much you charged for this job with all the uPVC and window cleaning too. Ive quoted £800 for a heavily mossed back and front with also hiring a mi-tower think it's cheap but it'll be an experience
@neilgreen9285 yeh have done quite a few now mate. I tend to work between 300 and 500 ish per side, depends on access, equipment hire, Chemical treatment, size of property etc
If your still using unger squeegee I've just picked 3 up from Amazon 8.60 each 45cm and 35cm they are handy for the handles on different size squeegee instead of keep changing
@@neilgreen9285 I'll check it out. Nice one mate
Would pressure washing be better?
Good question. I guess it depends on the roof.
This particular roof had so many loose or cracked tiles to begin with that I wouldn't advise it.
If the roof is fine structurally, then maybe.
Pressure Washing a roof creates a lot of mess to clear up though which can take as long as the roof clean at times.
We offer this service as a gentle way to clean a roof in the hope of not causing any damage, but damage can still occasionally happen 👍👍
How much did you charge for that job all together?
About £1200 I think it was mate
@@HelmOfAwesomeWindows not bad! Did it take you a full day or longer?
I did it over two days but it was about 7 hours all in all. I had to pick son up from school on first day so cut me short a bit
What area are you buddy
