Kids raised by single mothers are far more likely to go to prison, far less likely to graduate high school, more likely to commit suicide, less likely to further their education, and more likely to live in poverty, both growing up and in adulthood. Girls raised without a father are more likely to also have kids out of wedlock and repeat the cycle. The poorest, most ignorant segments of society also have the most single mothers.
This data has been known for DECADES, and it’s also the most basic common sense. One parent supervising, providing resources, and providing guidance is far worse than two parents, on average (not interested in anecdotes either). Mothers and fathers generally balance each other out. There are things that dads are better at teaching (on average) than mothers, and vice versa.
