What was your favorite NCAA Game/Cover?
Something about Crabtree is just the epitome of college football and his cover is cold as hell
CFB 25 cuz it shows one person from every team
I have to go back to NCAA Gamebreaker 98’ with Warrick Dunn. Awesome player and great person overall!
My mistake, I posted before I realized this is only the EA games. I would go with Reggie Bush. He was electrifying every time he touched the ball.
FACTS
Missed the opportunity to mention that Shaun Alexander also graced the cover of Madden.
So did Fitzgerald and Sanders.
Humans can't do nothing right.
Lol Yall Aint Even Play 07 Tho. Youngin
@@PMKru I am 39, bro. I have a Madden 2002 feanchise going on on my channel and game play from those original xbox/ps2 games. I had 07 signed by Phil and Josh when I went to Tiburon in Orlando for Madden 11 community day. "Youngin"
@@PaulGaither Alexander was a dog
NFL Thriwback is nothing but w's
Seriously. I'm a much bigger basketball fan than football and the NFL Throwback channel makes me jealous as hell. A NBA Throwback channel that did the same content as this would be amazing.
@@deucesz25right!? i want the people who are in charge of this channel to make an NBA Throwback. we wouldn’t even need Jxmy or Andy or Mike or Jonny.
Straight up! Love this channel!
Throwback 😢😂
🫡
Even though it was the PSP cover, it's still wild to think a FB made the cover
PSP was a great handheld console.
@@angelicsoulzPS Vita as well
Peyton Hillis was a FB..
@@TheHutchIsOn yes. I wish PS would come out with another handheld to rival the Switch that can also play PS5 games remotely like the Vita could with the PS4.
Man we played Darren McFadden in high school. That dude was no joke.
He was amazing at Arkansas that’s for sure.
Yeah I played him when I was at Troy University. I can confirm this man was no joke lol.
this channel is easily the best ever. they should make spin offs NBA Throwback (i got to see a NBA Arena video in the same vein as the NFL Stadium video) or MLB Throwback
I definitely agree. Those channels would definitely slap
The hockey disrespect is wild 😭
MLB
or MLB vauit⚾
@@tylerbattista3113hockey sucks
Crazy that the cover athletes of NCAA 04 and 05 shared one of the greatest plays in recent memory just over a decade later
Palmer will always be a Bengal to me
What was that? 😅
I know Fitz from the 08 run but Palmer i dont recall any crazy highlight reel for.
@@janboblarry 2015 NFC divisional, Cardinals vs Packers. One of the craziest finishes to a game ever
@@williamfiske7347i was about to have a heart attack
Whenever the cardinals and packers play in the playoffs, it’s one of the most craziest games you’ll ever see.
@@Supersonicspyrocardinals fan here, he bought us to a NFC championship game. Love him and everything he did the cardinals. I can’t believe we got him a 4th rounder lol
As a Notre Dame fan Denard Robinson scared the hell out of me. He had some special moments at Michigan
2011.
That game under the lights was epic.
I hate Norte Dame
He was what you call the perfect college football player. Wouldn’t transcend into the NFL with his style but for college it was special. Bush was the same. He was trash in the league. Only RB to rush for negative yards in a season in NFL history.
Denard Robinson is probably the worst QB Michigan has ever had. He was so bad that I would gladly take John Navarre or Tate Forcier over him. A running QB who couldn't throw the ball
It's amazing the number of ncaa stars that don't make it in the nfl. And the number of undrafted players on super bowl winning teams.
It really shows the skill gap from college to the pros.
Just the issue with the way the NFL is
Glorious topic, who ever came up with this deserves a raise
Agreed
I pray I can work for you guys with ideas and watch your channel over and over the classics
Hard to believe that Boise State upset was the 2006 season, I remember watching that in high school.
I remembered tuning in that game and was amazed that they beat OU with Adrian Peterson. Besides Texas and USC national championship game, this was the best game I have ever seen
@@joegardner851one of the best games I have seen to I was just telling my son about this game the other day
Boise State beat the worst Oklahoma team of the 2000s. If I remember correctly Rhett Bomar and one of the TEs got thrown off the team before the season for receiving illegal benefits through a car dealership, so OU had an unqualified scrambling QB leading their offense. Let's not act like Boise beat the '00, '03, or '08 Sooners. The teams that played for the national championship would have blown Boise State out.
Hardest transition ever going from Palmer to fitz
Palmer won a Heisman, Natty, #1 Pick and lead the Cardinals to the #1 seed in the NFC and revised Fitzgerald's career..
@@jamesonbolen9058 I’m not sure you understood what I meant
@@jamesonbolen9058bro they were saying the video’s writing was good, transitioning from Palmer to Fitzgerald like that
@@jamesonbolen9058fitz and the cardinals revived his career bro fitz is wayyyy more of a shoe n for the HOF than palmer
That Fiesta Bowl with BSU and Oklahoma was the greatest game ive ever seen.
These old ncaa games bring back great memories
06 still my game and 2nd favorite cover. That game has more detail and immersion than video games 15 years later
Rest In Piece to Keith Jackson Hello Heisman! 9:09
I've been playing ncaa football games all my life ncaa football 2003 2006 and 2008 to this day it's one of the best if not the real greatest football video games ever made!
06 is honestly pretty boring, I don't get the obsession with it
I would say 04 over 03
Reggie Bush being called a highlight god during his time in USC is so damn accurate.
IMO that NCAA Football 11 was the best one. So many memories 🥹🥹🥹
Larry Fitzgerald is the G.O.A.T 8:22
im a Steelers fan but always wished he had left the Cardinals to go to a team that would get him a ring that he deserved,
If we are talking best players on this list I would place him at #3.
Barry Sanders is a clear #1
Followed by either Charles Woodson or Larry Fitzgerald.
NCAA Football 2006 is the greatest awesome video games of all time not even close! 8:55
Still so proud that Brian Johnson made the cover. Still think Utah should have been in the national championship game instead of playing the Sugar Bowl, but that game still showed college football that even teams outside the BCS conferences could be competitive at the top level of college football.
Another gem. Throwback never misses
War eagle 🦅 Auburn
'IF IT'S IN THE GAME .. IT'S IN THE GAME' ..
It used to be… the past decade i$ microtran$action$ galore
Been here since Atari 26,52,7800 era gaming
We havent even got a Fight Night boxing in over a decade! They gave up on baseball&basketball too
Shaun Alexander should be in the HOF!
Tommy Frazier was cold asf!!!
You should have shown the Clowney hit on D. Robinson in Outback Bowl. LEGENDARY!!
that wasn't on Robinson but still one of the greatest hits ever
That was on Vincent smith ..
Bro RG3 would’ve had a great career without the injuries
Facts
We would have won the Super Bowl his rookie year
Danny Warfel, he went to became a priest or missionary I think
@@joelcarpenter-ht3sy ehh likely not, but they couldve at some point if not for the injury
I think so to.... the man was so good
Hall Of Famer Charles Woodson was the real deal won the Heisman Trophy at Michigan in 1997 but he was the 1st Round 4th overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders back then he went to 2 Super Bowl's but he won it all in the 2010 season with the Packers but he's living very well of his great life but he's the only Defensive Player in NCAA History to with the Heisman Trophy so that was awesome as well! 1:55
Pat White from WVU shoulda been on the cover some time from 05-09.
Still own my copy of NCAA 10 with Brian Johnson on the cover for the PS3 version. It holds a special place in my heart as being one of the only sports games I’ve ever sunk over 1k hours into. It was so amazing
I wish Carson Palmer was rewarded with at the very least one or two Super Bowl Rings in his career 7:47
That kimo hit on his knee was one of the dirtiest!
The Bengals may have won it all that season.. Ocho, TJ, Henry, Johnson, Kelly what an offense!
Defense had Thurman, Pollack, at LB they were nice too
@@aceassn716 i still hold a grudge against that steelers player for that hit.
The amount of times all these "can't miss QBs".... completely missed in the NFL... It's astonishing. It's the most feast or famine position in ALL of sports. Either the player you get completely dominates for the next 10 to 15 seasons, setting you up for multiple Super Bowls, or it sets your franchise back 10 years.
Trey Lance didn't set the 49ers back any
@@trinidadjames203yes he did, they traded multiple first to get him. They could have had even more talent look at who was passed up by trading those picks. They just got lucky and had had the last pick in the draft become their franchise qb
@@IIxXxmattxXxII We will see on that franchise QB part. I saw a lot of bailouts by Samuel, Kittle and Aiyuk, along with of course possibly the best non-QB offensive player in the league CMC.
alot of these QBs get failed by poor OL men compared to the college OL days
@@IIxXxmattxXxIIur speaking in hindsight ultimately we dnt know if they had the cap to pay players mayb that’s yy they traded there picks also niners during that time jus needed a qb
Ricky Williams will be interesting.
Charles Woodson intercepted Brad Johnson's "flutter duck" pass in our 2002 Super Bowl-winning Season
I wish Raghib the Rocket Ismael (from Notre Dame) could have been a cover dude for NCAA football..
That was the 1st time I've played that game NCAA Football 2003 of Joey Harrington on it was fantastic to play it all the time after I get back home from school for real! 6:24
Great seeing EA NCAA football cover athletes such as Charles Woodson, Carson Palmer, and Larry Fitzgerald having such tremendous NFL careers. This is way better than the Madden curse.
Carson Palmer throwing motion in madden was elite
So glad these games are officially back
I like that Tommie Frazier was the first player on the cover. Perhaps the best to never win the Heisman. Eddie George was incredible in 1995, but I would've voted for Frazier. A very tough vote nonetheless.
Only issue I have is that you chose to mention djax for his long tds not for the fact that he has over 10000 career receiving yards which is more impressive
He an Steve Smith were nightmares to try to contain
Dang haven’t seen the Super Nintendo in a min 😅
This is the best CZcams channel! Y’all are too clutch w content and NFL history 💪🏾💪🏾
Michael Crabtree's stats don't say how great he was.
Carson Palmer was the Heisman Trophy QB at USC Trojans in 2002 he was the 1st Round 1st overall in the 2003 NFL Draft by Cincinnati he had a very very decent career in the NFL he's only went to only one NFC Title Game from 2015 season although he's not haunted of the things he didn't do like win a Super Bowl Ring or have NFL MVP type of a season but at the same time he certainly was amazing player no doubt about it! 7:00
Led Cardinals to #1 seed and led the NFL in TD Passes and was 2nd in MVP voting..
@@jamesonbolen9058#2 seed. Cam Newton won the MVP and lead them to a #1 seed that year.
Jared Zabransky, THE GOAT
Have his 2007 rookie card of him on the Texans
Was surprised at the time he never got drafted
Watching Jared and that team take down AP and the Sooners was the best year. Never been so proud of my Broncos. I wish we had a better team around Kellen Moore because I bet they would have contended for the title.
That Tebow cover goes hard though 🔥
Desmond Howard the legendary phenomenal Heisman pose 8:52
the NCAA football cover curse is real
Not many great rookies seasons but solid careers
Charles Woodson had the best out of anyone
Also the only defensive player too
That NCAA 06' game was the best college football sports game EA ever!!
@5:19 how the hell are you allowed to play college football at 28 years old?! lol
Probably enrolled in college late
It's not about age. It's about eligibility. If you are in college, you have four years of sports eligibilty.
Your CZcams Channel Is The Greatest NFL Throwback
Man, I miss the days when my buddies and I would get together on Friday nights and play NFL 2k5 in 4 player mode online vs other 4 players. We were the Ravens Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Deion Sanders, Kelly Gregg Ect… people online mostly picked the Falcons for Vick’s speed which was insane or the Eagles for McNabb and TO. Only Ray Lewis could sprint sideline to sideline to catch Vick. The game play was crisp and the graphics and the half time show was amazing for its time. The buttons were simple. This brings back good times. NFL 2k5 belongs in the video game Hall of Fame.
Nobody does it like Joe Vincent 🔥
He was terrific in 1994 tell me for you they also Lawrence Phillips Scott Frost green was a part of the team before then I think
Also, Reggie Bush was one of the starters on the 2009 and 2010 Saints Super Bowl championship team.
That 11 cover is legendary
Charles Woodson
Demarcus Allen
Tony Dorsett
🐐 🐐 🐐
I had the Brian Orakpo cover for NCAA 10🫡
Oooo this is a fun video topic I didn't expect you to explore!
When the narrators on the job, you know the video will be good
i havent played this franchise in a long time. but i spent a lot of time editing player names and also importing the draft class into madden and continuing on. great times.
Desmond Howard was doing the Heisman vs Ohio State of the Punt Return for a TD but it was so delicious seeing that of why Howard's pose is legendary but will not be ignored at least Howard won the Super Bowl in 1996 in Green Bay winning a Super Bowl MVP along with it! 9:15
Awesome stuff can’t wait to get this game
Y'all goats just for this.
Hey NFL Throwback This Is My Request Can You Do NFL Scoring Leaders 1970 -2023 Present
NFL Throwback every team's ALL-TIME teams!
Patience my friend

the wait is finally over
They sure did like putting RBs on the cover. You almost never see that on Madden nowadays. It’s all QBs, all the time.
I picked off Danny Warfield in ultimate Frisbee in a pickup game back in the 2010s in Destin, FL.
I had ncaa football 04 I loved that game
I had ncaa college football 14-25 I like this gaming
Love the videos this channel puts out 🤩👏
Fun fact, Tim Tebow was Tom Brady's backup one year in New England.
Not really. He was on the team and was cut before the season started.
@@joegardner851 Ohhhhhh.
Eagles fan checking in to say that hearing Brian Johnson''s name gave me ptsd lmao. We hated him as OC. Glad he's gone.
That was great very entertaining
On a related note, the soundtrack to 06 was wall-to-wall college radio bangers.
End of transition in ncaa 04 to ncaa 05 was perfect great attention to detail in this video perfectly put
NCAA 06 and 07 were my first copies of NCAA, I enjoyed them so much I didn’t get another copy until 13 then copped 14
Wasn't Bill Walsh football NCAA like Madden was for NFL
Yes Sega Genesis set it off!
They were the superior to the snes games during that entire era
Couldnt call yourself a sports fan if you didnt have Sega Genesis back then
Great video, but why did the footage at 8:56 make me dizzy?
The Chargers fan is the best!
🤘⚡️🤘
I swear they always pick clips of the player dominating against the bears 😂
Shaun Alexander was SOOOO gooood NCAA cover and Madden Cover. That's legit!
2006 was my favorite and first NCAA I ever bought. It was such a well developed game with a great amount of depth
Idk why Larry Fitzgerald doesn't get more love in the top 5 lists. He's 4th on my list behind only Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, and Randy Moss. Dude was fun to watch and an absolute savage. Defenders said they couldn't even talk bad to him because he was such a nice guy 😂. But he was gonna cook em 99% of the time. What a legend.
I’m a Pitt fan so I’m biased towards Fitz but I would still debate he’s the best pro player on this list (along with Woodson probably)
Holy shit coup Summerall sound and less enthused to be calling a KR TD in the SB? 😂
I’d say the Michigan St. Mascot from NCAA 09 All Play is doing great; After all, he is still employed as the mascot
anybody else just enjoy watching NFL Throwback videos while eating 🔥
You forgot the Drew Brees Dreamcast cover
12:13 Lil bro slipped
Shout out to all these guys who paved the way and did this without getting paid for it. Having a CFB game back has been amazing
Sean Alexander was a beast in NFL street too. The real ones know
That boy Reginald Bush!
Charles Woodson is not only the only Defensive He is man but the only player in history to make the Pro Bowl at 3 positions. His first 4 of 6 years he made the ACF squad as a CB starting all 4 seasons. He then went to Green Bay as a CB but then switch to FS and won a SB ring and DPOY for the Packers in 09. Then a return to Oakland and started at SS at the age 38 his final season pplfinishing top 8 in PFF for all DBs(CB, FS, SS, NB)....
I LOVE that they still included the Butt Fumble for Sanchez 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ricky Williams was a animal in that first stint with the Dolphins
Shaun Alexander been on both covers. We probably don’t talk about him as much as we should.
Most people don’t even realize Matty Ryan was on a NCAA cover. Literally everyone started finding out after he retired that Matt Ryan had a cover of his own😭
