I think what people are most mad about is that he wrote ''you guys wouldn't let me leave'' and he skipped the rp of having convos about taking his half especially after so many of them have grinded so hard.
In character, OTT, Benji, Ray... have no reason whatsoever to dick ride JP so hard. They do it constantly, and even after being warned that he would screw them, they STILL sucked his dick and blindly followed him. He contributed the least to the group, they still sucked his dick. He got arrested and did dumb shit, they still sucked his dick. It defies all logic in RP why they would push so hard to champion him as a leader, but when you see that OOC these streamers are getting record high viewership on their channels, it suddenly makes sense why they would do this "that's our CEO" burn out RP for him. This puts him in an awkward position where he's locked into their RP because of how invested they are. If I had to guess I would say he just doesn't want to be locked into RP with clout chasers.
