- This has got to be one of my favourite campsites now, in Peninsular Malaysia. Tanjung Hills Retreat Campsite, situated in Janda Baik, is just 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur on the road. Chilly weather, mountains in the horizon, cool clear stream flowing by - a retreat for the soul indeed.
It was Day 2 of Raya (Eid) hence the sweat treat for me was a local Malay delicacy - Chicken Rendang & Lemang!

Good camping site. Thank you Jun for sharing with us your camping trip. Can't believe you can wallup a whole stick of lemang as your dinner. For me the glutinous rice will upset my stomach if over eaten. :). Yummy chicken rendang.
Always a pleasure to share a good camping experience. I ate only half the lemang! So filling. Brought the other half back home, and finished the next day with even more rendang :)

Thanks but unfortunately I was not the one who cooked the lemang. Bought from tepi jalan! It was indeed very yummy lemang :)

The sushi-like thing is called 'lemang' and it actually goes very well with the rendang and it's a delicacy in Malaysia! Thanks for watching :)

Hello there, my flysheet is 4.5 x 3. The poles were included in the flysheet package I purchased from Shopee :)

This place worries raining or not cause beside the river?
It's a small stream, and the campground is elevated quite a bit, so it's not bad. As a general rule, it's always safer to move further away if it rains :)

Hello there. Not genting like. Abit warm and sunny during the day but at night there is a nice cool breeze that allows you to sleep comfortably :)
I and my family stayed there since 2000’s. The temperature outside changed a lot, especially when many places has been developed. But on some days, the temperature may low as 22°.

Q: is there mosquitoes, ants, other insects at camp ground?
Q: is there any concern for safety? River overflow? Etc??
Q: is it noisy?
Q: Is the toilet, washing facilities near and good?
Thanks for watching my video! To answer your questions :
1: All campgrounds I've been to had mosquitoes, but this particular campsite had very minimal mozzies. No other insects either.
2. Safety at this campsite is alright. No river overflow even during the heavy monsoon. But generally it's always wise to avoid rivers in bad weather!
3. Noisy only with the weekend crowds.
4. Toilets and bathrooms in this campsite are clean and good. Pretty comfortable :)
