That lay up is actually rather good.... Impressed.
It's not surprising to see such good quality frames coming out of China. They have a lot of experience making quality frames for a lot of the name brand companies.
A friend I worked with in the railways many years ago , is a fibreglass and carbon fiber craftsman and designer . He saw this video earlier and brought it to my attention . He tells me that Canyon , Factor , Trek and Bianchi have made design errors in recent years , to his knowledge . He assessed many frames over the years with ultrasound and electron microscopes different to what is used in this video clip . A high price frame is no total guarantee against flaws .
Maybe the equipment of cycling sport does not require great manufacture precision as long as it reach a minimum standard

I wish I could predict where all this will end. It’s crazy to me that factory direct brands can’t get the hang of simple things like manuals, spares, insurance, and accountability right. The middle men brands that import frames and paint in the UK seem to make the quality worse somehow. Either by poor painting or not checking and holding factories accountable. The middle brands should have such an easy job, just add a layer of reassurance and service and apply a small profit markup. Sometimes I wish I could get to a Chinese factory and overhaul their websites, get a load of stock into western warehouses etc.
This videos are interesting but they remind me of 90's era American horror movies. Cutting the frame to highlight non-issues is the same as when an actor decides to walks into a house rather than run away, knowing that the killer is inside and they will still shout "HELLO! IS ANYBODY THERE?!"
Hope you could one day look into the Specialized Sirrus X 5.0/6.0 carbon frame with their "compliance junction" design.

I was wondering about a thing the carbon specialist says in this video, and has said in some of your other videos, about the fork flexing inside the head-tube. It seems strange to me, because the fork is clamped by the stem and thus can't move downwards there, and obviously can't move upwards at the crown race.
If the fork is flexing then its not taking the direct path from the stem to the crown race anymore, which would mean the path the steerer tube takes inside the head tube gets longer. So is he saying that the carbon steerer tube is actually stretching as it flexes? This seems really hard to imagine.
Very valuable information! But personally for such price I would go with Merida or something in this price category. In sub 1k USD category Chinese frames have no competition.
I got this frame a year ago and rode it for 3600 km. No incidents, some rough terrain, but nothing a gravel frame should not be able to handle. Im 83kg.
Turns out the seat tube is fractured.
Contacted yoelleo to claim warrenty several times. They're ignoring me.
I think everything is quite good, everything in its place, price is good too.
I believe this filler in some place is there just because it is easier to make this shape with this than putting inner mold in these places.

Great work! Wish there was a way to cut up an example from every brand (or every factory since so many brands come from the same place) to highlight the poorly designed/manufactured ones so they can be avoided. Otherwise you really don't know what you're getting...and free replacements don't do a lot of good if the thing snaps into pieces and you're taking a ride in an ambulance as a result! Does your carbon expert friend compile a list of "DON'T BUY!" since he sees plenty of failures and/or crash damage?

that "interesting packaging" also is not doing as well as it should be , someone on my forum recently got his yoeleo r12 broken and yoeleo refused to warranty it bcs they said its "human error"
Do you know exactly the situation? Its a second hand frame send from China almost 2 years ago. And claimed that there is a crack. We inspected everything and when the case is something within our warranty policy we will definitely replace it. 😊

I have done it but only for investigative reasons in line with client requests
At 3:00 it's not pure epoxy - it is epoxy with microbaloon - it's standard very light very common filler in composites. It's basicly glass spheres that why you see there air pockets. IT IS NOT escaping gases from epoxy XD This guy act like expert, but sorry 95% of what he is talking about is not true. Experience with fixing frames is not equal to expirience with manufacturing.
