  • Alright, guys it's happened the long awaited DIY ostrich fan tutorial!
    I tried my best to include a link to the lowest cost products without sacrificing quality.
    In the photos, I have two layer fans with 24inch ostrich plumes and 9 staves, the cost of which per fan was around $150, which isn't bad and definitely gives premade high-quality fans a run for their money.
    And these are super huge! for reference I'm 5' 10" and these cover most of my body =]

    Use some "removable" locktite on the screw threads, to stop them coming undone. Be careful, there's also a permanent version, you might need to replace a broken haft.

    O aint that neat! My wardrobe consists of what im putting together as Renaissance period style. Im working on being able to take anything plain print or pasiley hahah, and wearing it in the fashion or even just making my own stuff. And boy are these feathers not cheap lol!
    My hats are fashioned with these and i even made hand fans to hide in within the clusters on my hats. This era was in serious need of heaters, so the satin most likely kept us heatstroke warm! And yes ive passed out several times hahah. So now im making a fan per each hat to suit my outfits 😵‍💫😅

    Not sure if this will get to you now but I'm struggling with the wire ends on the back. The are sticking out too far and I'm afraid they're going to ruin the other feathers. Any ideas??

    • @MillionDollarShowgirl
      @MillionDollarShowgirl  Před 4 lety +4

      Jacqui Thomas you fold them in or cut them, pliers also help get it tight. Also if that still not working u can cut the wires short and add a drop of e6000 or even hot glue to create a smooth bump so the wire won’t hook anything

    Can you please help me? I've ordered plumage from Feathermart over a week ago and have not received shipping confirmation (supposed to be within 2 business days). I tried contacting them through email but with no response. They also don't seem to have a phone number I can call... What was your experience shopping with them, and do you know if they have any other methods of contact?
