Pop.Up envisages a modular system for multi-modal transportation that makes full use of both ground and airspace.
    The feasible concept is the result of Ital design and Airbus joint reflection on how to address the mobility challenges of megacities achievable for a majority, which has become one of the most pressing issues for commuters in megacities worldwide. With traffic congestion projected to hugely increase by 2030, the companies decided to combine their engineering expertise to tackle how to best achieve a sustainable, modular and multimodal urban mobility system - giving rise to the Pop.Up concept.
    Audi shark concept car:This is the most amazing future concept cars of all time that could become a reality in 2030. This was imagined in 2009.Since then,Audi works hard to make it a reality,

    There was a flying car, built on the original vw beetle car body. It was drivable and flyable. The faa refused to allow it to be mass produced as they had no way of controlling the foreseeable amount of air traffic. It was developed in the late 1950s. The flying trashcan was a personal flying vehicle developed by the army in the 1960s. It is most recognizable in the opening and closing credits of the animated series Johnny Quest. The army abandoned it based on noise and flight time limits. All this new stuff is made possible by new tech. Developments in electric motors. And computing power. The ideas have been around a long time, and some people made them work without tech.

      dual oz because you mentioned the 1950’s: I keep thinking that I’ve seen so many similar projects in the Flight Magazine archives. There were convertiplanes, tiltrotors, flying cars, hover platforms, and whatever else in the 50s. It’s a shame the thinking in (almost) 2020 is still in the old paradigm of adding lots of little props or tilting the engines to make something fly vertically as opposed to offering a real “flying car”. I’d go even further and say a couple of the old projects were bolder and more innovative than all that we see here.

    I think the Osprey scale down is looking probable but with few modifications like the lift could be done with underneath antigravity fans and thrust could be done with hot air fast compression turbo fan and heater to be both aerodynamic and safe and by my calculation if the turbo fan and heated air or better yet steam at 800 degree and less bridge, road provided the log on distance and destination must be in the system so it choose the authorized coridor and altitude otherwise it would be a nightmare for average 500,000 at any given times over the cities scape however a cool ram turbo fan with high compression ratio would perform well and keep it cool. The idea about flying car different from design an air plane and it should differentiate the function of each. The important is also eliminate wheel completely but add on water landing gear because the anti gravity fans would repace the need for the tires replacement that destroying the earth.

    This was an interesting video -- thank you! Unfortunately, the Volocopter, Lilium Jet, and Ehang 184 are *not* flying cars. They could be considered "personal flying vehicles" or something like that, but they are not designed to run on roads (or, as far as I can tell, move around on land under their own power at all, except for takeoffs/landings). Also, you said the Aeromobil is a single-passenger vehicle but the video very clearly shows *two* seats.
    If you are still interested in flying cars, I suggest you also check out the Maverick LSA and the PAL-V. There is also the Moller 400X, but it is doubtful that Moller will ever become a reality.

Just look how they drive now, on the ground, road rage, aggressive driving etc. Now, put that in the air above our towns and cities. ....🙄

    • @Starbat88

      Road rage and aggressive driving are exactly why we need automation of transportation. That's part of the deal. This is what allows people to use such technology without a pilot's license.

    • @michaeldawson6309
      @michaeldawson6309 Před 6 lety

      Maybe when battery tech improves some designs could potentially we quite practical even if they are using 100 years out of date technology.
      The only new tech is the computers and GPS needed to guide them but as for the avionics still props :-( bring out the Electro Grav tech please.
      That said you may be able to get a decent range with autonomous flight like my drone does.
      Basically I think the first practical design will be just that a large autonomous drone with a decent range.
