  • I have previously used a big sponge i a nylon stocking (watch #40) for varnishing my paintings, but I find that even though I keep it inside 2 plastic bags, it still tends to dry out and get a bit hard after a while. So I tried out foam washcloths instead and they work really well in my opinion. Besides they are cheaper if you want a new one every time you varnish. Win win 😊
If you get small bubbles in the varnish give it a split second with a torch.
Feel free to ask questions 😊
I am a self taught liquid artist and I learned a lot by watching CZcams video made by a bunch of very talented persons, who generously shared all their expertise. A huge thanks to all of them!
I love pouring because of the diversity, the surprises and the uniqueness of every single pour. It may turn out a bit too unique from time to time!! but that's part of the beauty. We all have different tastes when it comes to art - and everything else.
Hopefully this channel can help and inspire others while I continue down the road. Experimenting, making failures, discovering new ways and trying out techniques inspired by my surroundings, nature and my stash of acrylic paints.
    Enjoy!

Ty for sharing this …I’ve still yet to get brave enough to use Resin and need some good alternatives

I’m not a fan of resin myself. Too risky and a lot of work.

This is an excellent tip. Can you tell me a little more about the foam washcloth? I've googled for them but sometimes it quite confusing as they come back with "self foaming " so a name might help even if it not a USA brand. Thanks very much.

Hmmm. Wonder If they are a danish thing! Skumklud in danish. It’s a single time wash cloth in a sponge like material.

They are made of polyurethane -if that helps.
